April 27Apr 27 Author 3 minutes ago, wil iam not said:To what are you referring please? What do you consider high carbs?Refined Carbs and Added Sugars: Diets high in processed grains and sugars (especially fructose) are strongly linked to hypertension. Fructose, in particular, can increase uric acid levels, which inhibits nitric oxide—a gas that helps blood vessels relax.

I'm not sure but high carbs cause diabetes, high bp and poor erections. I think Tim is probably correct. His diet might be boring though.

Not much protein and will shorten your life. You live out of a no frills 15,000 Baht a month hotel room in a northeastern province. That means you have no kitchen, are not able to prepare healthy meals and you mostly eat at low priced local restaurants. I have seen what you eat. You have posted dozens of photos of your 40 to 60 Baht meals as if they are so wonderful. High in carbs and low in protein. The typical Thai diet. Most of the plate is filled with empty carbs and a small amount of protein. The large amounts of beer you drink just adds more high volume empty carbs to your diet. That is why your BMI is well beyond healthy levels. You also do not exercise because you spend nearly the entire day on this site. On top of that, you talk a lot about drinking soy milk. Another low protein option that is highly estrogenic. Fine for women, not ideal for a middle aged man with low testosterone like yourself. It explains why you have so much chest fat. What you need to do is cut calories, start exercising, and get your weight and blood pressure down. Being pre diabetic is not helping you either.

He is famous for his low carb diet and has run more than 70 marathons and ultramarathons. What will iam not said was correct. "Honey, oats, wheat flakes, are all good for you as in muesli.". Those, along with other grains, oatmeal, rice, quinoa, barley, millet, etc, are all healthy choices, with good fiber and prebiotics for the gut health. People that run marathons are usually running all the time, and use heavy carbs for training. You can basically eat whatever you want if you're a long distance runner,,albeit sticking to healthy choices, as you're burning calories more that way than most others besides downhill skiing. I've known a few who gorged on pasta before their runs, as well as pizza, and they all are healthy and did well.

It's the liquid calories and refined carbs, over processed, that add to your possibility of developing diabetes. Largely genetic and also a bad diet. My son has and brother had diabetes, along with two others I know about in our family history but no one else has, and my son is lean and has eaten healthy all his life, along with exercise. High BP also comes from an unhealthy diet of the same. As far as erections, I can't guess about those I've trained, but I've never had a problem.

Asia has been eating it for centuries as a main staple with little to no bad effects. When the western diet came along it changed things for them, specifically heart disease , cancers and obesity. The Adkins DietDr. Adkins was the first to track and document this, he's got a book on it, worth the read.

My brother developed it after gaining weight and not losing it when his doctors recommended it, which had him pass away from a heart attack. I've eaten oats daily since moving here, and did much of the time before, along with wheat, barley, millet and quinoa. My ex wife is lean and has it, along with more than half her family, all lean.
