If you honestly believe that I, or ANY other poster, is "stalking" you then you should report them to the Moderators!

BUT! The next time you accuse me of stalking you then I will be doing the reporting!

You can do it right now. You came to this thread with nothing to post about the topic, but only to attack me. So report away. How many posts have you made about the topic thus far?

Why are you writing to me then, strange person? Nothing on topic, but just addressing me personally. Then claiming to not be involved... Some kind of mental imbalance? A brain fart?

A scruffy looking UK guy asked me for money in Naklua Road last week. We were outside a 7 Eleven and I told him if he follows me in I will buy him a toasted sandwich and a coffee. He looked at me and told me to stick it up my a**se. Now isn't that gratitude for you. I said nothing and just kept on walking.

and why do you keep on worrying about what other people are posting, you are as bad as them

It's all about control.

Some people, for whatever reason, truly do get-off on trying to police others to toe some imaginary line, which only they can see.

These people are in the wrong profession.

They should have bee Crossing Guards.

This seems to be an obsession with them.

They get totally worked up and freaked out when any tiny thing might seem to be "out of place".

Obviously, it would be almost impossible for them to maintain a normal relationship.

This is why many of them flock to forums such as this....just to keep both you and me....

In Line....

We owe them such a debt of gratitude.

I thought they flew everywhere.

I find many expats here were not well off in their home countries and become righteous fools when they arrive here. Thailand is one of the cheapest places in the world to retire that is safe. It attracts those that like adventure but don't have the means to live an adventurous and fulfilling life in their country of origin.

Some just misjudge what they needed fanatically or are incapable of managing their money and no reason to beat them down more. Stop and talk to the foreigner that is begging and make his day a little better if you can even if you don't give him money. I have no problem giving money to a dirty "farang" if I think it "might" make his day a little better.

At least, the cost of a bath is warranted, if one can afford to help.

This morning I was walking to Butter is Better on Chang Klang to have breakfast when a foreigner approached me at the intersection of Chang Klan and Sridonchai road and asked for money. This guy looked to be in his 50's, bald and was wearing a dirty t-<deleted> and shorts. He did dnot look like he has any missed any meals. His accent sounded like he might be from Northern Europe. I

He probably foolishly fell for a bar girl and got raked of all his cash.

I lived in lower Sukhumvit and foreigners asked me for money all the time, almost as often as Thais. At the MacDonalds on Soi 19, a guy would use the restroom then make the rounds asking for money without ordering. Several months later I saw the same guy there again.

It happens a few times a year to me in Bangkok. Years ago they'd crawl up the blue line a bit to scrounge pity and money off the Thai.

I always detested the women backpackers that would throw a blanket down and sell shi++y pictures of Thailand on cards. Probably not even their shots. Please help I'm broke... Sometimes the more honest sign. Not usually.

If I'm approached by a foreigner for help...

Excuse me mister farangy do you speak English?

Yes, very well

Could you help a lost soul...

CUT OFF*

Perhaps, as long as it does it involve money. What can I do for it?

Crickets...

If people are dumb enough to eat that food they are dumb enough to give to a beggar

The beef burgers are 100% beef as can be proven in McDonalds, it is ok to eat every now and then, much better than Thai beef.

I buy Australian beef and NZ lamb from Makro, European whole filleted salmon from Europe, cooking at home is much safer and tastier especially if you have a good cook to hand.

I would not eat the Thai muck served in Thai restaurants, low quality food, full of fat, the poor quality hidden by hot spices, I am not dumb enough to eat that rubbish.

What about the lot on here who do the same but do not get paid for their high quality correspondence. 😀

Because he was hungry perhaps?

If you stay clear of Farang, and other deadbeats, while in Thailand, or anywhere, then there is not much to worry about.

My friends are Burmese, Cambodian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese...

They have never once asked me for money.

Nor, do they ask anyone for money, that I know of.

As for Thai people, I think they mostly ask relatives for money, or Farang in-laws, perhaps.

I definitely wouldn't say Thailand has a begging problem, it's not even something that has concerned me, but after all the time I have spent in the nation I would estimate around 99% of beggars or people asking me fir money have been Thai or Cambodian, but mostly Thai.

I can count on one hand the amount of times I have encountered a 'Farang' asking me for money or begging on a sidewalk. Now either I have just had a very special experience in Thailand, or you are dreaming up a delusional reality with a 23/24 hour a day inside a condo habitual life. Another victim to the c00f, or maybe you were always like that.
