Full moon parties - anyone been lately ?

Featured Replies

Are they still a big deal on kpn? I went to the island when it was one years ago. Went the day before was packed on the beach 90% males though. Seemed a bit odd. Didnt bother going the next day.

Anyone been to a fmp?

Anyone been to kpn since covid?

I read the inland road to Thong Nai Pan is tarred now. Half dirt when I went.

Any favourite beaches you have?

You ask a lot of questions that are answered, but you never answer a question posed to you. People do notice this.

The road to Thong Nai Pan is now concrete throughout, though may be tarmac at the beginning and the end. That's the road at the left turn at the 7-11 on the Haad Rin road.

Can't comment on the FMP status though. Not done that for 20 years.

Case in point..Alpha 84 above.................

I've been to a Black moon party in early noughties on secluded beach in Choeng Mon, Samui a few times...Was conveniently opposite home..................wouldn't bother with Full moon, too messy and for 20 year olds really. plenty of floosies though nowadays........

Have you ever considered hiring a tour guide?

What about one with sharp wit, historical context, and biting satire...

Why, do you know someone who fits the bill?

Thanks for the one normal answer. Let's see if any others emerge. It really is a test of the forum.

1998 and 1999 really good full moon parties, you're a bit old for FMP parties now

Yes which is why I will avoid that time. Should be much better on the island. Great island otherwise.

When was the last time you were actually in Thailand? How long did you stay, and where did you go? Be interesting to get a part time tourist thoughts.

I was there the 5th-8th this month. For the dedication and Thamboon of Ariyawongsawan Meditation center.

You will not notice the Full Moon parties on Koh Phangan unless you go to certain parts of the island when it is busy because of the Full Moon or Black Moon parties.

Most of the island is still quiet if you stay away from those areas. And the good part, at the beaches we stayed, there where afternoon parties, that usually ended before 8 in the evening.

Best beach depending on season, and if you have a ride, you have all options to go where you want when you want.

It is strange how you claim to have been there in KPN but you can't name any beaches you went to.

I was on the opposite end of Had Rin from the full moon parties. As I posted 10 days ago. You dont seem to read much of what other people post. Princess Paradise.

Why dont you ever post picture of you in Thailand?

Baan Thai beach, not far from Haad Rin.

Why would I post a Bang Saphan pic on a KPN topic? Makes no sense lol

You post your pic first and maybe he will follow suit.

Baan Thai Beach on Koh Phangan is quite close to the Full Moon side, so expect it to be busy.

I cannot remember it in detail, except driving past and eating at a few restaurants there. If I remember right, the beach was a bit muddy and dirty

Thong Nai Pan area has 2 nice beaches. Can't find a gym nearby though.

Yi peng is the only full moon party am aware of.

At least 10 times Will. He will not post a photo as he has not been here. Guy is on a frenzy. Every post I make he is down voting. I do enjoy the fact we can once again see who is giving out what kind of repo.

I really dont understand how a poster with no reputation is allowed to give out down votes. I mean when you got nothing you got nothing. 🤣🤣 -4000!!

I have been to KPN but long time ago.

Why would I post a pic of another area? Makes no sense.
