The poll says keep the infantile emojis, but the comments suggest otherwise.

On the basis of contribution to the forum, its speaks for itself, if you have an opinion then you should comment.

I think people moaning about the emojis is hilarious. I say we keep the emojis, but we should see which leftists who posts all the thumbs-down emojis.

Only positives and question mark. This leaves those who are cowardly and the few trolls to explain themselves, if they can, when they dislike a post. Question mark can have some not understanding, or

I guess it says people like emoji's and not commenting, if commenting is important to the forum survival then reduce the emojis

I agree, that's exactly what it says, but forums are for commenting (what you and I are doing now), not a popularity contest, if you want to like people you can go on Facebook.

How does knowing who did which emoji cause trouble? I would think accountability would cause members to think before they clicked.

Agreed, what difference would you feel if I put a thumbs down on your post and you knew it was me, or simply reply and say I don't agree?

The mods don't want the extra work, but that can be solved by just not answering questions about emojis and make that known

That's how it should be.

People are cowards, that why they use them so much and don't want anyone to know it was them.
Sadly, its never enough. How many in this thread are crying about the red thumbs down when they've already changed the color to blue just for them.

We also need to introduce rainbow flag maybe as a positive emoji

No, we don't need any rainbow nonsense.

I wonder if anyone else supports a transexual emoji

Yep, I reckon this NSW police officer would.

Do you know him/her/whatever, your friend?

Also it's always good to look at the big players handle the same situation, they all show who has given emojis, they don't spend time investigating complaints about it

51 cowards who love emojis. All failed socialists.

Would love to see a Zzzzzzzzz emoji....

I'd like to see the positive emojis remain.

The Agree, Thanks and maybe thumbs up.

There is no agree. Blue heart, red heart, champhion.

'Smart alecs' to the fore again in this thread - not really a subject for banter! FGS Admin are trying to find a way to improve the Forum and that's good.

IMO 'Like', 'Endorse', 'Agree', and 'Thanks' could be combined.

'Broken heart', 'Laugh' and 'Question mark' can be a little confusing. Which leaves us with 'Thumbs up', (blue) and 'Thumbs down', (red).

Then you can post if you want to express anything else - be it pro or con.

Admin want anonymity and that makes sense to me.

Could introduce this ⬅️emoji to save the most infantile posters from writing “ leftist “ or “ leftie “ in every post they write.

In case Brave browser users are unaware of some of its features:

  • for each site you can enable/disable Brave Shields - the built in undesirable content filters

  • you can disable individual elements that appear on any of the site's web pages

  • on this site you can disable the display of each individual emoji type and also the count of each type

  • the customized filters can easily be removed

Knock yourselves out!

The poll seems conclusive. Glad to see the emojis staying.

IMO Only thumbs up, thumbs down should come with a 50 words minimum justification.

I'd like to see a poll of who wants the emoji poster name disclosed, i reckon 100% Yes

  • Popular Post

It's not the emojis, some folks just need thicker skins, as the ryme goes

"sticks and stones may break my bones, but emojis will never hurt me."

This won't happen, admin are protecting the trigger finger crowd.

Maybe a Popular Emoji Contributor, similar below.

and lets get some adult emojis

I don't see this being useful. It would likely result in tit-for-tat emoji behavior similar to the "other" forum.

What a laugh.

A bunch of high post count, old farts trying to control the table.

You can see the true children on this site.

Time for a breakfast beer, see you later . cheesy

thankfully that seems to be true , Thailand does seem to have the uncanny ability to keep people feeling young that's why we love it. But there are some on here , the self appointed "sensible adults" who take themselves far to seriously.

I would like to see , amongst others, A vomiting emoji, A masturbating emoji A Smack in the mouth emoji and an idiot emoji anyone got any other suggestions

Now that you have your data, look the thumbs down crowd on this thread and determine if these are the types that add to whatever you are tying to accomplish with this forum.

You could take a way the thumbs down for a couple sub forums and see how that works out or just create a separate general discussion forum with a thumbs up as the only option where those that don't need to hunt other members down incessantly and get their jollies thumbs downing them. Personally I would be happy to exclude those that need to thumbs down chronically just to make them feel better about their pathetic life.

Emojis save time.

If you have to reply every time some poster post the same sh-t,

you need 25 hour days or more.

Same for good posts you strongly agree with, emoji is better than

replying you agree or love what he said.

I am surprized that not more people use emojis.

What is the maximum of emojis a post can have ?

Maybe 20-30 "votes" , so only a core of 20 to a 100 members

use emojis ?

Or AN has only 100 active posters/ reactors ?

Fine, tit for tat is ok, it might change behaviour of the original tit
