but it's not always the dumbest stuff, those emoji people have a fetish for posting negatively, rarely a useful comment posted

I received over 50 thumbs down on one of my comments.

I was in agreement to Thailand's dual pricing.

I'm sure it wasn't a dumb comment.

It is called Doom scrolling. People do it on youtube too. It gives the person a dopemine hit. It shows their is something missing in their real life.

I think people moaning about the emojis is hilarious. I say we keep the emojis, but we should see which leftists who posts all the thumbs-down emojis.

Only positives and question mark. This leaves those who are cowardly and the few trolls to explain themselves, if they can, when they dislike a post. Question mark can have some not understanding, or

That method would require a by topic at best - and take along time supplying urls for each topic created each day - hundreds of them ! baring in mind that the topic just analysed- can change in the next 30 seconds. - It doesnt work.

Fair enough, I don't know the system behind the scenes, but i know how good Gemini is

Algo program? I don't know. An IT guy could sort it. They put a man on the moon in 69. Should be fairly easy for an IT guru. List the top 3 most negative emoji givers each Sunday. It is probably the same 3 or 4 guys each week.

A web developer can use regex unicode range checks with javascript to extract emojis from text and run a batch code to quantify using a js frequency map.

Thank you! I'm flattered that you follow my posts in so many different threads.

I don't. Wow, you do really think people care about what you post? You are a bore and if you were as remotely aware as you seem to think you are, this would be obvious to you.

Well, it looks like the forum Gods have added names. Didn't go well during Covid but could this go around. It is worth a try anyhow :)

I have 3 regular thumbs down followers. 2 names I knew. The other I didnt. Interesting to see how cowardly these guys are. 5 foot 5 guys no doubt. Small men. Small actions.

Those 'small men' to whom you refer cannot account for your hugely negative reputation score. At some point you will need to look closer to home to gain an understanding of the why.

How are you going to achieve that across 1500 posts per day ?

I would think a simple script could be created to run at 2am every morning and total every bodies Thumbs Down posts. I have no idea what DB you use or other details but I think it would be easy enough.

You have posters here that are hunting down certain members and downvoting every post. It creates a hostile environment and I feel bad for those that are bullied. This should be stopped and those doing it suspended.

Thanks for listening to users input !

Think the mods would have stopped that if it was true.

Have you proof of that statement. ? coffee1

Quite easy to see it's the same people that disagree with myself and others about things political, and the war. Besides a couple who are trolls that is. Better this way, so we can see who they are, and know why, leaving room for explanations instead of just placing thumbs downs because they don't like someone who either proved them wrong, or are prejudiced against them because they live in a certain country.

Even though I'm neutral politically, some think I'm on Trump's side because I'm an American, and though I hate war, I want to see something done positive in Iran, and no one has made any other replies about what might have been a better plan, how to stop the terror regime, eliminate the terrorists, keep the Strait open, helping out their civilians, and preventing nuclear weapons from being made.

I've received quite a few about that topic, some from a couple who want to see America lose, which would not be a good thing for any countries, especially those involved. No one here knows much of what's going on behind those closed doors, but I'm sure most of us want to see Iran's citizens have peace, the Strait opened so everyone can benefit, and terrorism in that country stop.

They do stop them, warn and ban them, as it does happen.

I have a stalker fan myself. Under the anonymous system, he would have added a laugh emoji to this post. Let's see if he does it now.

Just have to look at the last 4 out of 5 downvotes on this topic 😟

Maybe you make a lot of crap posts, and maybe that's why you get thumbs down.

I don't get a lot of thumbs down, I get a lot of laughs from a single individual. It falls under the "you will not stalk other members" rule. I am not thin-skinned but it is annoying.

So out of 86 why did you only pick 3? Exactly the kind on nonsense we have been talking about.

And yes just for a laugh I gave you a thumbs down. As I explained already on the Jokes thread.

Why do you let something so trivial annoy you

It's silly to do that.

We should all take note of the cowards that hide behind their keyboards. The herd becomes a powerful online dynamic and can shut down discussions. Authentic posters that don't need a group are at a huge disadvantage. We will see if they group together more now.

Several things can be annoying in any use of a system, and they usually can be improved based on end user feedback – in my experience, it is always a good idea to take this feedback into account.

Are you dense and how would I have proof. You are tying to come across as a a bad ass but we all know you aren't and it doesn't take proof. Just a little knowledge of how nasty individuals act. Not much to you other than you are obnoxious.

One well known stalker of mine, warned and banned continuously in many different aliases, gives me 2 more thumbs downs, thinking it's justified assuming I get some because I disagree with some here, which I have no problem with, as it's always been a discussion forum. Guilty by his own hands.

Another downvote for you, due to disagreement with the content of your post.

You rarely, if at all, have proved anyone wrong here. If you don't believe me, start a poll about it.

Equally the nonsense of anyone being prejudiced against you due to you being from the USA. I disagree with that statement. I think any reaction would be due to the content of your posts.

You will then begin to understand that yours is a very particular kind of character that will be sensitive to any form of disagreement. Whether it be in the form of emojis and/or written argument.

Rather than argue with you all day, with you insisting that you are always right and the others are merely Trolls and narcissists, I imagine some would choose to plant a Thumbs Down emoji and just move on.

In my case, I will happily provide any explanation on request, if I have not already done so.

I guess you are referring to me, due to you being too cowardly to engage directly.

We all are discussing the topic from our own perspectives. Disagreement is normal. But some are rather sensitive to criticism and are unable to accept there can be another point of view other than their own.

Aren't we being a little childish about this poll and the subject? I mean, what harm can an emoji do? If someone showed me their butt as an emoji, I wouldn't care in the slightest. After all, this is a forum where, in my opinion, you have to take most things with a grain of salt.

Felt

It's over, the relevant change has been made, enjoy

Again trying to justify, by deflection and lies, along with insults of a person's life he knows nothing about besides what I've said. Also trying to psychoanalyze someone who has not only proven him wrong in his assessments of myself and many others , when almost everyone sees how he is here, and why he's warned and banned so many times. Too thick to see it's been him all along.

Trying to enlist others who already have his number, into thinking I'm arguing with anyone besides him and a couple of others this way. Trying also, with a modicum of intelligence, to act innocent in one topic and a troll in another, not understanding most everyone on here is an adult with a memory. Wondering why I won't interact with a child like coward, instead letting everyone else eventually see what I and many others already have. There is no "we" , when it comes to him, as no one wants to be in that company. Except of course other trolls who he also insults at another time.
