Usually you get a full refund, assuming you followed the process

I have over 96 pages of orders dating back to 2018. Never had any real problems with Lazada. No big deal to send stuff back and .always got the refund, some times quick some times slow. but always do

With all due respect, as a Lazada faithful who orders dozens of times a month, I find the OP's interaction strange. First of all, the return process has to start through the web or app with supportin

Received some dark chocolate last week, paid with Debit Card. The package was left on the bonnet (hood) of my car, and was liqiuid by the time I found it. Applied for a refund. Straight back to my Card, and no need to return the stuff.

After an hour in the fridge, it was lovely, but could I re-order..I doubt it.

Had a similar event with chocolate chips but after a few hours in the fridge and a bit of knife work, the cookies were fine.

I have gotten fake supplements but they're pretty good with Costco's Kirkland brand. Looks real, anyway!

Most of the items I order are B150 or less. More trouble to return them than to give them away.

I bought a box of fan parts, too! Did not return...

Many fans come disassembled. They are not that complicated.

Are you sure it was genuine Maple syrup and not flavoured sugar syrup?

It happens with honey so much, you must read the ingredient list, and there are tests you can do to verify it is real honey, a drop of it in water....if it stays as a ball = real.

I never buy food online.

250 ml bottle from Quebec Canada and imported by Coles of Oz, and a guarantee......if you don't like it, your money back!!

Coming from NZ am very used to honey and its taste and this is Maple Syrup for sure.

Fun fact.....it takes 40 gallons of tree sap to make 1 gallon of the golden goodness.

I put some on ice cream last night.

These sites, such as Lazada and ShoPEE are increasingly run by bots and AI.

They are removing direct contact with humans in the loop.

The responses you get are based on probabilities instead of logic, on a case by case basis.

Also, it is extremely difficult to get payments and money returned.

I still have a credit at Lazada of over Bt4000 that has been a pending return to me for years.

The problem is that they require information that I will not or cannot give before returning the funds.

And Lazada is also minimiizing the ability to contact an agent.

You have to use the app to be invited to email them, or some garbage.

This is completely different from the experience one gets on Amazon......at least for now.

But, Amazon will go completely to the dogs, too, in the future.

The only way is to stop buying.

Or, do not buy online.

Visit a shop, like a drug store locally.

That is what I must do now since I refuse to deal with bandits.

If you find the correct drugstore then you can get a better deal.

Also, I was scammed on Bt700 for a wellknown vitamin supplement on ShoPEE

I will do my best to MINIMIZE my purchases from scam sites in every possible way.

Those who enjoy the online experience here, have nothing to compare it to, such as the experience in the USA or elsewhere outside the influence of the BAMBOO CURTAIN.

If these companies treat customers like garbage, or numbers, then up theirs.

A picture would be helpful , could stop others buying the same crap,

but i would not be buying any canned fish , sardines ,mackerel , that

is produced in Thailand or Vietnam , as I read a report that some

organisation had conducted and they found many cans of fish were

contaminated by worms or their eggs ,still alive, so if you don't want

to end up like J F Kennedy Jr, be careful ...

I still think that LIVE eggs story is bogus since the canning process will kill worms eggs etc.

So, if one buys from a reputable packer, then no worries.

I agree it is better to buy from places like Norway, if you are willing to pay a lot more and if you can find a good source.

Why not buy from a Taiwan company, if you are worried?

I just will not buy online, and I agree with you.

Also, I do not like the quality of the larger fish, as I stated before, and so we agree on that.

Still, there might be a happy medium, for a mid-range price of quality canned fish.

I have no problem with canned Tuna from a major local retailer, which is a private label product, of course.

I would not buy the canned stuff coming out of China.

If you can copy the link to the report you reference, then I might change my tune, and one should always provide proper attribution for such resources one quotes here, anyway.

Otherwise, this is just the spreading of FUD, as you well know.

So, check the source, and ALSO check the veracity of the source, is the best policy.

Of course, many companies do the same. I buy from Amazon (free shipping over $35). I paid for Jeff Bezos' divorce! Amazon is also difficult to return items.

No need to buy fake supplements. th.iHerb is awesome.

Yes.

I would be very happy to buy from Amazon, instead of any Chinese or Singapore or Taiwanese company.

Then, there is the issue of import duty, and very high freight costs for heavier items.

I would really appreciate hearing from fellow forum members who may have faced something similar.

A few days ago, I ordered what looked like absolutely delicious 4 cans of fish from Lazada. I was genuinely excited about it.

What arrived, however, was a completely different story.

The cans were delivered in a shocking condition — significantly past their expiration date and so badly deformed they had lost any resemblance to their original factory shape. They looked catastrophic.Anyone with basic food safety knowledge knows that bulging or deformed cans are a serious health hazard — we are talking about the risk of botulism, a potentially life-threatening condition.

I immediately contacted Lazada to request a full return and refund of the 240 baht I paid. Their response? They transferred a grand total of 60 baht to my wallet. Not a word of apology. No explanation. Just 60 baht.

I am now seriously considering my options:

  • Reporting this to consumer protection authorities, as selling expired and potentially dangerous food products is not just bad service — it is illegal.

  • Walking into their office and politely asking a staff member to personally sample one of the cans they so confidently delivered to my door.

  • Wondering out loud how their customer service bot is sophisticated enough to dodge every legitimate complaint, yet somehow completely incapable of connecting customers with an actual human being.

Has anyone here dealt with Lazada over a similar issue? How did you handle it? Any advice would be genuinely appreciated.

Sorry to laugh, but it came from a country that put melamine into baby formula and has people who fry street food in gutter oil. Thank God you've got the sense and knowledge to have sent the poison back.

Never had problems.

Once I received a 25 satang sponge instead of what I ordered took photos order cancelled.

USB stick checked it (have BSCS) didn't need to return it,my money was returned

My chocolate coated dried bananas arrive melted as one block, but weirdly i really like it, good chocolate used

Buying any sort of food on line is crazy, just asking for trouble. You can get fresh fish on every street corner in Thailand.

Open a case with Lazada, talk to an agent, explain why you complain, ask for till return, send back the cans.

It's very easy and Lazada solved all my problems up to now? 💯

No, and I've used both Lazada and Shoppee for over five years now. I've gotten full refunds on a couple of items, and never had a problem with that. I even got a full refund for a pair of golf shoes I wore for 18 holes and then decided to return.

A few months ago I had ordered an external hard drive, which crashed immediately after I plugged it into my laptop.

I stupidly tried to fix it, spending 300 baht on 3rd party software that did not help.

The Vendor sent a bunch of repetitive nonsense responses to my chat questions.

I should have just returned it within the window. MY FAULT!

It took a while, but Toshiba confirmed it was a fake.

Since I was outside the return window, Lazada claimed they'd contact the vendor, but take no other action. Even provided proof this was a fake, they did not to take the page down.

My wife and I are very heavy users of Lazada - Honestly, problems are rare. But their Customer Service Help is pretty awful.

First action ....... hit return

Then it's the seller that has to make the effort.

If you try and discuss with the seller, they just try to keep you occupied until the return date has passed.

Presumably you took photos to prove to Lazada ??

Why?

He has explained about the cans. I for one have no reason to doubt his word.

His complaint about Lazada is about the refund.

Why show us a photo of the cans?

Every fan I have purchased lately has required some assembly, no problem.

A box of fan parts is something else again.

Lots of problems, although most of them with the delivery service. Once ordered two jars of jalapenos and they arrived broken. You could hear the broken shards and the cardboard shipping box was dripping wet with the smell of jalapenos. I refused to take delivery, but the delivery service boxed things up in a new box and tried to deliver it again the next day. Refused again. Right now, I'm into day 8 for waiting for a rice cooker to be delivered all the way from 20km on the other side of Bangkok.

So you don’t think his statement :

“ The cans were delivered in a shocking condition — significantly past their expiration date and so badly deformed they had lost any resemblance to their original factory shape. They looked catastrophic. “

extreme !!

I personally don’t believe it and the fact that the op never returned to acknowledge any replies or advice is pretty suspect also.

Yes, it happened to me before. You had 4 items, 60 baht each in order. When you requested refund, you only got 1 refunded. 3 are still in delivered mode.

You need to contact Lazada and return the other 3, then you would get refund for all 4 (60*4=240).
