Just two I had children with were the problem. All the other girlfriends weren't and they ended amicably. Yes, it was my mistake picking them and having children with them but the children are here and doing well, so the disaster wasn't so bad. I have a good girlfriend now for over 5 years who I would love to take back to America with me but she has parents that are old and she might only visit and not stay, although she knows America is a better place than she has here.

He has probably filled an entire notebook with notes about you and plenty of other AN members by now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he adds to it every day. I used to think it was just bizarre, but it starts to make sense if someone doesn't ever interact with real people. It also explains why he’s asked so many forum members to meet up. An anonymous message board isn’t where people go looking for friends, yet he seems to expect strangers on here to want to meet him. It’s all very creepy. I’ve never seen that kind of behavior on any other forum.

There's a big difference between spending money on someone you care about and paying someone as if the relationship is a transaction.

Some relationships are transactional. Others are partnerships. Saying "every man pays for a woman" ignores the millions of couples who both work, both contribute and both do nice things for each other simply because they love each other not because someone is owed a return on their investment.

I'm sure there are lots of people out there like the ones we're discussing. They are people with serious identity issues, in denial, and completely cut off from reality. You probably pass by people like this on the street every day. You just don't notice it in public, but give them access to an anonymous online community and then their true colors come right out.

That hurt - I'll be 60 next year and once I was with a ladyboy unknowingly but confirmed a year later when out with some buddies. She remembered me when we bumped into each other that night. A friend told one of my friends told him he was a man and others confirmed. That was a weird revelation. I like athletic looking women which is more risky here...

This is an escape route for those who are antisocial in person. They feel safe here so can exaggerate all they want, and no one will know. They'll put down people they never would in person. Comes from a damaged home life, where abuse and or neglect, or spoiling took place, and the hate generated from that is put on others.
