Most people that live in Pattaya have lost their marbles. It’s a good place to try and look for them.

As you are heading out of Pattaya towards Bangkok on Suk. Around about Banglamung there is a place on the right hand side that sells Marble and Granite tiles and worktops.

If you go the other way heading to Sattahip via the Sukhumvit Road, just about at the end

of Jomtien there is a big marble place on the left.

This is where I bought my granite for our bathroom. Very good quality and workmanship. They will measure and install, all included in the price.

Marble seems to lose it's shine in this climate, but granite is very easy to take vare of. both the same price.

Don't use marble; it's fragile.

Use granite instead, much harder. There are very beautiful types of granite as well.

laopo is right. dont use marble. with granite you will be more satisfied.

As LaoPo and 65 say, it is far better to use Granite for worktops, but for bathroom furniture including flooring, Marble is fine.

You should be able to get some pretty good imports from China, not sure of the availability of home produced Marble in Thailand.

Just a hint here, if you use it for flooring, ensure it is properly laid, if it is not properly buttered up on the bottom bed, you will have impurities being drawn up through the surface by the heat, it will ruin your perfect floor.

Yep they are about the largest and probably the best around, they have their own factory and cutting machines to slice it off the slabs. Price for the black and gray speckled "Chinese" granite is/was a couple of months back 1600 baht a meter run fitted. They will also do custom cut marble for you if that's what you want, but the price is way expensive.

They are on the south bound carriageway opposite the elephant farm place just as you drop down the hill toward the Hue Yai traffic lights.

There was a cheap place on Theappist road opposite the golf driving range, not sure if it's still there.
