Wow,don't mess with the Thai constabulary! A flying kick followed by a couple more when he was down!

Kicking someone when they're down is in their DNA. Put this young man on ozempic

; it will get his weight down and curb the drinking and impulsive behaviour.

Kind of you to say so. I rather agree with you ...

I only get deported for using my ham radio equipment..... I don't drink, don't smoke, don't have a crazy girlfriend, and above all - I am not a loony.........

Therefore, the likelyhood of me 'getting it' is fairly remote :)

Thailand's regulations in respect to the use of ham radio is consistent with other countries including western nations. Unless licensed in Thailand, and the equipment is compliant with the local regulations, the use of the equipment is illegal. There are reciprocal agreements with other nations that allow for foreigners to use their equipment in Thailand if declared. People who violate Thai laws are subject to removal orders. Considering the ongoing concerns of terrorism, human and drug trafficking, Thailand does have a reasonable position.

This guy did not learn from the first time he was reported by the police

For causing a disturbance

Plus they should be looking at his visa for staying in the country

Deportation is the answer don't need people here like him being a nuisance to others who want to enjoy their stay in Thailand

Another example of laws being ignored, I remember bar staff, and management were made responsible if serving alcohol to anyone appearing drunk.... obviously, once again, the cops aren't doing their duty.

More likely chrystal meth (ya baa), or cocaine, heroin and alcohol. Marijuana alone induces calm, not aggression.

Its called "common knowledge" , its a kind of "intelligence" , and nothing to do with reading a photograph . Its actually not really amazing , unless one is the sort of person that is amazed by the rising and setting of the sun every day

Do you keep an immigration officers uniform in your wardrobe , and put it on whilst issuing such instructions.

Learn to read. The whole episode happened on Phuket's infamous Sports street where there are dozens of gyms and Muay Thai schools. His dress, or lack of, is commonplace with the people that train there. The culture of that locale.

However, he doesn't strike me as someone in hard training despite the statement that his visa is based on study of Muay Thai.

I should mention that my deportation was from Laos, and not by the Lao government (who granted me my ham licence), but by an idiot poilce chief, who had a personal dislike fo me!!

Anyway, this is completely off-topic.

The Thai police should hand this loony over to the UK embassy in Bangkok for immediate return to the UK. (I know from having personally met her, that the UK embassy does employ a Thai woman solely for the purpose of accompanying nutters back on the plane to the UK, regardless of whether that nutter has the funds for the flight - but it's only for nutters, not for down and outs).

I recall years ago, carrying a nutter up the steps of a 747 after he flopped down halfway up. The female Dr escort shoved a needle in him and said he wouldn't wake up until they arrived in Rome, where she was going to enjoy a short holiday before returning.

Oh FFS! Lock him up-..fine him..ban him. Come on Thailand..get real with these mentally ill guy's

So it was a Brit after all. Pretty weird performance by any standards.

Testing the patience of Thai Police is a bad idea. Those shoe they wear are like safety shoes and you won't be able to ignore receiving a kick with those. Notice how fast Mr. Brown went down after just one or two kicks...

I was more concerned by his behavior reported yesterday when he trespassed on private property and banged on someone’s door, scaring the lady who was alone inside. All this after causing a sufficient disturbance at a 7:11 that they called the police.

Today’s reporting seems more of a case that he is was “just” drunk and disorderly. Although the resisting arrest charges will amp things up a bit.

Not sure what punishment he will get, I assume not a custodial sentence. In which case, there’s a distinct possibility that we will see a repetition of some kind of drunken behavior that might cross the line of being disorderly.

Thats not an arrestable offence , is it ?

Well, I did not say that it was an arrestable offence. I said that it concerned me.

He was not arrested for his actions the previous day, although from what I read in the article, that was because the lady inside the house decided not to file a complaint. No complaint, equals no arrest.

Jail, contact the Brit embassy to pay for his one way ticket back home, put a 10 year entry ban and case closed.

If the Brits Embassy refuses to pay for his ticket, close the borders for the Brits to enter, until they pay for their own. This rule should apply to any foreign national in Thailand who is broke and making a nuisance. The UK spends billions of £ for Ukraine whilst their own are suffering in the UK. So the money is there, it is just poorly spend due to totally incompetent governance.

that's nonsense, it depends on the individual and their mental health. Long-term use of Marijuana can alter neural pathways in the brain's prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for emotional regulation and self-control. This can make users more impulsive and reactive to minor provocations and make them aggressive.

I wrote 'more likely', nothing more definitive than that.

Yes, I too have lived in Thailand for 15 years, and in a very, very drama free way. That being said, I think you have missed the point, unless ... you are a person whose entire life view is ... "It's all about ME" Do you really want to live walking on eggshells because instead of litigation, negotiation, etc ... we foreigners train Thais to just black stamp our passports and send us packing? Oh! Did I forget to mention that your bank accounts will probably frozen and you will have to work that out from your home country? Thanks for reading that ... now hurry back to your "All About ME Bubble"

I think you should see your doctor again .

Mr Brown needs to up his muay thai game and lay off the hash pipe.

Fine, deport and ban this yob.

Yep! The lady from the British embassy told me that she always extended her UK trips after she had dropped off the loony...

So he IS a Brit! We were all thrown-off by his lack of tattoos in the earlier news story.

I think that, rather than being on drugs, his behavior is indicative that he is OFF of his meds.

Is he a Brit ?

Maybe he was trying to steals a few items to sell. So he could afford to have some tattoos.

Somehow , people like this manage to check in for their flight , sit in economy for 12 hours , pass through Thai immigration and get to Pattaya whereupon the strain of holding together for such an extended period becomes altogether too much and they completely lose it and flip out with the most outlandish behavior. An anthropologist could have a field day in Pattaya or Phuket.

We used to hire prison staff to do contentious escorts until greed and corruption reared its ugly head.
