You have to take it serious, if a young girl/woman run to the police accusing someone having exploited her sexually. Just to insist we have to wait to find out it's true or not is a crime in mind. She's only a girl and might lie?? RTP saw it different and arrested your German friend. RTP got probably reasons to do so. At least there might be some hints or evidence for a severe crime, ending with a trauma for the girl.

Hmm, well you seem to have gone off on a tangent there. If you read my post I was stating that it was important to get the RIGHT perpetrators. Never any mention of the girl or her statement.

So you are getting all in a fluster about something that some other people, like me, are not discussing.

The point being made is not that the girl is not telling the truth, it’s that the German guy hasn’t been found guilty of anything…..yet.

That does not mean that the girl is not telling the truth. Clearly from what is in the article, she is.

He has been arrested, he will face the consequences of his actions if found guilty. The fact that he rightly has to be found guilty in a court of law, does not mean that the girl is not telling the truth. It means that there is some semblance of law in Thailand and not random vigilante justice meted out….most of the time.

Clearly the girl is being regarded as credible. She has received and is receiving help. The police have arrested suspects. Good. That’s as it should be.

But suspects still have to be tried and convicted. Until then, they are suspects. The two Thai people seem to be real POS. I’m not exactly sure what part the German guy may have played, I don’t really understand what the charge means. Maybe a customer.

But just because @newbee2022 has decided they are guilty ( not without reason) doesn’t mean they can be punished without first having a trial and them being found guilty.

The thing is, crazy stories detract from the real story which is that pedophiles exist and society as a whole has to protect its children from them. Conspiracy stories create hysteria and complicate the real action that’s required.

I have no problem with the statement that "anyone is innocent until proven guilt." What I find disturbing is that unlike almost all the other crimes reported on this forum, several members first thought is that she could be lying. Yes, there is occasionally cases where a underage minor lies about being sexually molested; however, it is very rare. The fact that her major concern was for her younger siblings falling into the same horrible situation that she has had to endure for how many years also gives credibility to her story.

Very true.

In this case there was clearly credible evidence that the girls story was absolutely true. A charity foundation gave her assistance and the police intervened and arrested three suspects.

Whilst there might be rare cases of stories being made up, this wasn’t one of them. So I don’t know why people would call her story into question.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty, but if found guilty, then I don’t have a shred of sympathy for them and I hope they get severely punished.
