This question is straight out of a university’s brainwashed kids handbook. We have all been colonised somewhere along the line. Please leave the virtue signalling to the kids on Tik Tok.

All land has been invaded or “stolen” as you like. Maybe you would be happier with the consequence if the Chinese invaded the Americas.

Maybe the question is less the "if" and more the "how". The USA, supposedly "land of the free" has been built on genocide, including the most brutal massacres against women and children. Add slavery

Yeah, any Biblical scholars on here?

My theology is rusty, but I vaguely remember ...

I think that land was given to the Israelites but subsequently taken away because they pi&&ed God off. Or broke the pact.

But the promise of the Land doesn't apply to modern times. It was 2000 years ago. And most Jewish people have nothing to do with Israelites of the Bible anyway.

Debunking the Myth – Modern Palestinians Are Not Descendants of the Canaanites or Philistines

It seems the so called Palestinians stole the land they are currently on from the ancient Canaanites which they are not descendants of. So I really think it is awful and criminal for the so called Palestinians to try to occupy this land.

Equivalent to the Jews who now inhabit the land.

Its moral depravity is only surpassed by the ignorance and hubris of its nowawadays inhabitants, whose only retort is whataboutism instead of owning up to the moral failure they are (to this day!).

How refreshing to hear a voice of reason in the wilderness of delusion. It's always surprising to me how unwilling the average white man is willing to take responsibility for history.

Over the years America has done a lot of good in the world but the three blights that will forever remain are its maltreatment of the Native Americans, the Mexicans and the Black race. And that racism continues to this day especially with hate mongers like the current so-called leader, and his band of creeps.

I agree racism still exists but I don't believe it only goes one way anymore.

You said it's good to see people "take responsibility for history." Responsibility for what? My great-grandparents came to the U.S. in the 1920s. They had nothing to do with slavery or what happened to Native Americans, Mexico or any other US history. Why should I be blamed for things that happened before my family even got here?

We're living in 2026 not 1826, therefore we should deal with today's problems and not blame people today for what someone else did generations ago!

Now, if a school or company picks someone because of their skin color instead of their grades, experience or qualifications that's racism too.

The law is supposed to be the same for everyone. People should be judged by their actions, character, hard work and qualifications, not the color of their skin. You don't fix racism by treating people differently because of their race. You fix it by treating everyone equally.

let me ask you this. What can I legally do as a white guy that a Black, Asian, Hispanic or Middle Eastern person can't? What law says I get one year in prison but they get two?

What law gives me more rights because I'm white?

That's the problem - u can't have it BOTH ways.
There are BIG differences between races - particularly in terms of IQ (and violent crime statistics on the case of some).

So, if you judge people solely on their merits youre gonna end up discriminating against blacks and browns.
In these times of universal cultural marxism that's not gonna be allowed. But it is what it is.

I used to agree, and would still agree that some blacks are amenable to modern culture. But I no longer think that this is true of most, especially given what modern science reveals about black genetics and behavior.

After all, the evil LBJ has long been dead.

Trillions have been spent on black welfare.

Blacks have had several generations to recover from whatever ailed them. And even after decades of forced integration and DEI, nothing has worked. It just gets worse.

This strongly suggests that the only thing that ever kept blacks in line was heavy policing and the threat of serious punishment, and even then, the attitudes of most were bad regardless of all of us who bent over backwards to improve it.

I wish this weren't the case. But as we see, no cooperation is forthcoming no matter what we do.

Many other countries have enacted genocide and stolen land , and states, from their neighbors. Myanmar (still), Germany, The Ottoman Empire, Cambodia with the Khmer, Sudan (still), ISIS, and others listed in the following link The US has never been found guilty of genocide although it did kill many Indians taking their land, fighting them when they tried to kill settlers who were entering their native hunting grounds, which they took when they came over the land bridge. The definition of genocide

genocide

/ˈjenəˌsīd/

Genocide is the intentional and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. The crime was defined by the 1948 Genocide Convention and includes lethal and non-lethal acts carried out with the specific intent to eliminate the targeted group. Of course, we can also add the expansion of the Tai (sic) speakers out of southern China who colonised what is now Thailand, and the southern expansion of the Viet peoples from the Red River Delta area and their colonisation of the Cham and Khmer lands in what is now central and southern Viet Nam.

Palestinians are natives, too

Nobody talked about reparations.

You mean, other than a few dozen tribes (not just in the USA), the Democrats (in the USA), professional race baiters and the UN, don't you?

Around the world, calls for reparatory justice have been growing. Some States, universities, religious groups and businesses that profited —or continue to profit— from legacies of enslavement and colonialism have started to act.

Delivering reparatory justice is more urgent than ever. And human rights offer a powerful framework to move forward.

To help unpack this issue, UN Human Rights has created a series of explainers based on United Nations reports.

https://www.ohchr.org/en/documents/tools-and-resources/reparatory-justice-africans-and-people-african-descent-series

The basic problem that without a writing system on mud tablets you can't establish ownership of property and must get the consensus of your neighborhood in order to transfer ownership of your land.

Native Americans never "owned" their land as the concept was unworkable in an oral language system.

Writing symbols in the mud enabled property rights, ownership and totalitarian governments and kingdoms.

The natives didn't really have kingdoms only networks of independent entities more or less.

In America by being white you're looked at completely differently by the judicial system. You won't be profiled by police, you will be pulled over significantly less often by them, and if you do stand before a judge for committing a crime the chances of you serving time for it are infinitely less. You can argue with that all you want but those are simply facts.

Your quote and your views, if they are one and the same, compel me to respond.

A lot of people in Europe would say the same of immigrants. Perhaps even Rump would say the same of US immigrants. "Slavery" has (supposedly) ended so Black people are among those historical immigrants.

This false notion of White superiority is complete nonsense, although I expect you'd advocate for eugenics. Humans can be smart or stupid, no matter their skin colour. I won't surmise which you are.

As I said, if your only counter-argument is whataboutism, then you have no argument. It seems, you are unable to evolve from this primitive, immoral stance.

It is not moral to say, that -- because others behave badly -- that this gives you the right to behave as bad or even worse.

But then I would have wondered if you would have been able to come up with something more intelligent. Ypou ar esimply the product of decades of brainwashing, thinking the USA is the opposite of what it is, a terror state built on hurting its own citizens and the planet.

Normally it is the guilty who engage in whataboutism. As you so aptly demonstrate.

Primitive and immoral? Where did I say it's right to do anything wrong?

I've never been brainwashed. I've just been aware of what's gone on and history is a passion . In America, we are taught world history, including your country's. As Americans, we know better of what's gone on than those who never lived here, as we lived and were taught about it.

It appears you are prejudiced about America, . Something I see here now and then, by people who have never lived there, or only were tourists and think they know all about a country from a few visits and videos. What I stated were facts you can easily research. I don't stick up for any bad behavior. by anyone including my own country's politicians.

Your statement about America, " The USA, supposedly "land of the free" has been built on genocide, including the most brutal massacres against women and children. Add slavery with all it entails to it, making the USA one of the most bestial countries on earth", .was wrong, and again, if you would research and not comment from prejudice, or perhaps hatred against Trump, which is the thing these days, you would see the truth in history.

Slavery wasn't started in America, and actually exists more today than ever before, a large percentage here in Thailand alone. Europeans were responsible for much of it in America, as no one was an American native anyway.

How would i be guilty if I wasn't around when they killed the Indians? That's not much of a genocide as they killed thousands of settlers who were trying to live in a new country. They didn't own the land, nor did anyone else on earth before people decided to take it over.

What country are you from that didn't kill it's neighbors to take over their land? Not many that didn't, although there were some who were victims of this. My statement was intelligent, while yours was based in prejudice, and also non factual.

Unquestionably, the definition you provide includes Israel's genocide of Palestinians.

ethnic cleansing noun [ U ]

uk /ˌeθ.nɪk ˈklen.zɪŋ/ us /ˌeθ.nɪk ˈklen.zɪŋ/

the organized, often violent attempt by a particular cultural or racial group to completely remove from a country or area all members of a different group. Unquestionably, West Bank colonists.

You're right. We should only consider recent of current genocides. The past is past--for everybody! Including such horrors as the Holocaust!

If not, does every Armenian or every First Nation or every Aboriginal bring genocide to the table? Which is why I'm so damned tired of the poor-me Holocaust story. 84 years in history. Right--never again.

We can now concern ourselves with Darfurians, Yazidis, Rohingya, Tutsis and Bosnians. The thread that connects them is that these genocides are all against Muslims. I had never considered it that way before.

Any takers?

Think about that, as it is a sure sign how deep you have fallen for your own propaganda. Maybe reflecting will help you to throw off this yoke -- but I won't hold my breath.

That's a fair point, as people have, or should have. evolved from the Holocaust and the Khmer Rouge times, but as we see, Myanmar and a couple African nations are still experiencing it. Dictators, like Iran's also, kill at will, because they want ultimate control and power, and their citizens mean nothing to them besides possible votes or labor.

Facts, but you can call it whatever you like. I don't fall for anything, as I've never been political but one who sits back and sees what actually happens without any hero worship. You still haven't researched about your statement, which is easy to do.

You can call racism against blacks genocidal, but it wasn't practiced by everyone and it wasn't considered genocide by law.

The United Nations Convention defines genocide as acts committed with the "intent to destroy, in whole or in part" a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. Under this definition, the actions of only a percentage of perpetrators can be classified as genocide if a state is complicit, or if laws, policies, and institutional structures are used to systematically oppress, harm, or destroy a targeted group.

I have not disagreed with your argument that other nations have acted immoral to a high degree; Germany has quite a prominent porsition ther eitself, adn as we all learn in school about it, I certainly have self-reflected a lot about it.

However, your argument is, as other nations have acted thus, the USA is free of blame. It is not.

You asking me to research your argument is just a deflection. Own up to what your coutnry did, fullstop, instead of pointing the finger in every direction but yours. The USA, self-proclaimed "policeman of the world" is still acting atriciously, killing women and children als collateral damage in their imperial wars by the tens of thousands -- it is happening right now, today!

As to your really weak assertion "The US has never been found guilty of genocide". So you ask for an international jury to look into that. Really? You kind of would be the first American to ask for an international court...

Reflect on the weak argument you brought or don't -- I can lead a horse to water, but cannot make it drink. But as you are a "scholar of history", it will give you a start:

Discussions about the United States and genocide generally fall into three main categories: the historical treatment of Indigenous peoples, domestic racial violence, and foreign policy.

1. Genocide of Indigenous Peoples
When European settlers arrived, an estimated 10 million Native Americans lived in the Americas. By 1900, that number fell to under 300,000. This drastic drop was caused by forced removals like the Trail of Tears, deadly conflicts, and federal policies aimed at destroying Native culture. The Holocaust Museum Houston details how violence and forced assimilation laws fueled this tragedy.

2. Domestic Oppression
Organizations like Genocide Watch point to historical and systemic abuses against Black Americans—such as mass incarceration and police violence—as forms of state-sponsored discrimination and dehumanization.

3. Foreign Policy and Complicity
Under U.S. Law, genocide is a serious federal crime. The U.S. government has historically made official genocide declarations against atrocities in other countries, such as in Sudan or against ISIS. However, international activists have also filed complaints alleging U.S. complicity in recent conflicts due to weapons transfers and diplomatic support. The Council on Foreign Relations explains the legal meaning and global impacts of these genocide labels.
