The heroic Ukrainian people have shown a tremendous amount of resolve and they just won't quit. Lately they've been taking it to Russian soil and causing devastating losses for Russian Armed Forces refineries ports and other critical infrastructure. They are showing brilliant strategy and tremendous creativity, and the destruction that they're wreaking right now with their drone war is something we've never seen before.

It would appear that Russia's in serious trouble and that Putin has miscalculated even more than Trump has miscalculated in Iran. Russia appears to be on the verge of the defeat, and that would be not only a great thing for the planet but a tremendous victory for the people of Ukraine.

What a lot of us are wondering is what has Russia brought to the table in the last 70 years in terms of its contribution to the world? Other than it's space program and mineral resources I can't think of a single thing that they've done to benefit mankind.

Hopefully the Russian people will get angry enough to somehow figure out a way to get rid of their genocidal and pathologically unstable leader.

In addition, major cities throughout Russia, such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, have come under attack by Ukrainian drones and long-range missiles, not just towns and cities in Russia’s border region with Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk. Crimea has also come under withering attack by Ukraine, forcing Russia to close summer camps and beaches, disrupting fuel supplies, and causing electricity outages.

Russia has lost around 1,436,100 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on Feb. 24, 2022, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on July 24.

The figure includes 1,410 personnel losses recorded over the past day.

According to the report, Russia has also lost 12,201 tanks, 24,500 armored combat vehicles, 124,787 vehicles and fuel tanks, 46,646 artillery systems, 1,968 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,516 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,006 ground robotic systems, 34 ships and boats, as well as two submarines.

Since the poor sods have been living under genocidal and pathologically unstable leadership for the last 3 centuries I very much doubt it.

Russia held massive stockpiles of equipment, much of it obslescent if not downright obsolete. The modern warfare being practiced by Ukraine has left what remains of those stockpiles largely irrelevant. It's (Russia's) military leadership is almost entirely unable to adapt. It's currently proposed levee-en-masse of conscripts, who they do not have the means to either train or lead adequately, with the politial imperative to deploy them quickly, is simply going to kill off a large part of a generation.
