Foreign Couple Filmed Having Sex on Phuket Beach

Under Thai law, the max punishment for sex on the beach is a month in jail and 5,000 baht. Recording the video is punishable by 5 years in prison. The best way to protect Thailand's "wholesome image" is a few high-profile convictions of the Peeping Karens 😑

AFAIK, any person, Thai or foreigner, can charge anyone else under the Computer Crimes Act. Time for the perverts to get busted.

Sand is not a very good lubricant. You can quote me on that. 😎

Phuket is obviously getting too crowded if one can't engage in a bonk without some perv getting a camera out!

A recent story from my area. A couple was sunbathing naked at a naturist beach. A man arrived alone, lay down right opposite them, and blatantly stared at the woman's genitals. The couple, far from pleased, left the beach, the woman feeling uncomfortable. Could one of the many experts on this site perhaps offer some moral guidance on this story?

On Wreck Beach in Vancouver, just below the UBS campus, we often had Indian men walking the beach fully dressed with shiny shoes. We just didn't pay any attention. If someone was too close or staring, they would have gotten a good dressing-down from me! Otherwise, who cares?

Bonk in private. Not in public places.

Don't know about you guys, but is i were nearby, I would told those horney monkies to go get a room,no need for such display of disregards to others around.

Sheesh! Don't like it, don't look. You are the one being offended, they are not the ones doing the offending.

Wouldn't want you to burn your eyes out or anything.

The world doesn't need imports of perverted antics. Leave them in one's home country.

If one really feels like it, try Saudi or Singapore - there will definitely more appreciation shown.

No, the problem is retards having sex in public.

I would have worded it differently.

If you're going to do it, at least have the good sense to be discreet.

It's hardly ground-breaking behaviour... many of us managed it in our youth without turning it into a public performance.

Don't look? who would you feel if you see someone taking a dump in front of everybody? would you still say ''don't look'', really?

Would I? No, not particularly. In fact, I have seen homeless people taking a dump in public. I mean, who cares? Have some compassion. Starts with a moral compass.

Have some compassion? to whom? to people who find it ok to have sex in front of on-lookers? and please, do me a favor, let's leave at that and don't reply with more nonsense, because you just drag me in to reply to your ubsedity.

Nobody was looking, except the guy who made the video. As I said, who cares? I certainly don't. Why do you? Why are you so outraged at this? I seriously don't get it.

For those who say, that this is particularly un-Thai. Look up nwhat the meaning of a green lantern was -- throughout Thai history, and particularly on Phuket since the main period of tin mining.

I am all for cultural sensitivity; but get some perspective, on why such situations occur, and who is making money off of it.

You invite mass tourism into what is basically a red light district, with plenty of alcohol, this is what you get -- let's remember, every single company catering to tourists has, by law, a majority Thai shareholder. The money of this couple went literally through dozens of Thai hands.

Don't play the surprised Karen after the fact, and clean up this situation first.

Would you have reacted the same if a guy cam and took a dump on your door steps? would you car than? where disency start and end? that's what I'd like to know, we became no better than those feral animals already when we stop carring.

Not the same. The beaches are Crown land. Let you-know-who complain. If they were having sex on my doorstep, I'd ask to join in if they were good-lokking and at least watch if they were not! We really are just dogs in the street. False decency.

Beaches in Thailand are legally public property under Section 1304 of the Civil and Commercial Code and cannot be privately owned by any individual or company!

Coastlines and beaches fall under state domain for public use, meaning no resort, restaurant, or private landowner can claim ownership of the sand or restrict you from walking along the shoreline!
