If I recall correctly, you asked for advise / help. At least a few responds offerd serious suggestions. And of course a lot of others were joking...

So you live in a coconut plantation, 2km from the next habitation. Don't want to lend / buy a ladder / camera etc to solve your "problem".

So you don't seem to have a problem. You are just making fun over those (few) who tried to help.

Good and honest people nowdays ask themselves - why is there nobody around who would help others without an ulterior motive?

Seriously.

You can see the answer when you look into a mirror.

Rubbish! I make fun of no-one. But I do reply in kind when someone hasn't bothered to read the thread and my explanations of why I haven't acted on a suggestion, because it's not realistic for my location or my personal health.

Look at the suggestion by one poster to tape a camera to a stick to view inside the roof space, because I have no means to physically reach that roof space. That was a good suggestion and I took that on-board and implemented that suggestion.

But for those who keep repeating suggestions that I have already dismissed as unrealistic for my situation - Read the whole thread before making yourself look stupid!

If you don't have a ladder try opening the hatch. Taping your mobile to the pole, hitting the record button on the video and rotate the pole around to grab a 360 view. Let us know what you find.

A derogatory comment like this is not acceptable IMHO.

Are you not aware that this gentleman, Simon 43, has spent many recent years in Burma (Myanmar), including during the recent Junta troubles, offering his self funded charitable services to help educate and provide welfare for underprivileged young Burmese children? He is a regular contributor to AN with fascinating reports from the schools accompanying vivid photos, some harrowing! Simon, wherever possible, keep up the good work and best of luck!

A fellow Brit.

Thanks BB :) I should say again that this NOT a serious topic that I lose sleep over, even though some posters seem to be approaching it with a distinct lack of humour! The useful suggestion to use my mobile phone camera on a long pole seems to confirm that there are no large animals or squatters in my roof space, and that the previous, useful suggestion about wind flow lifting the hatch cover seems the most likely answer.

Don't be silly, it's obviously a poltergeist. Is there no spirit house on the land?

Remember, it's always a UFO until you identify it.
