I'm starting to think Israel will not survive as a nation. The nations in history which became hypermilitarised faded and died. Sparta is a great example and a quick burn but the Roman Empire had a same faults as Israel and had a protracted and ignominious death. No more glory from war.

It certainly was very strange that the supposedly most efficient secret service and crack IDF, who many say are among the best soldiers in the world, both failed to protect the victims of the 7th Oct massacre.

However, we need to also lay the blame at the feet of the actual perpetrators of those crimes. One can talk about the reasons behind it, the apartheid conditions they lived in, and so on, but I would not go so far as to say that only Jews do evil in Palestine, clearly both parties have engaged in unspeakable monstrous criminality.

Not even. Jerusalem is contested by Jews (Har HaBayit), Arabs (Haram al-Sharif) and Xians (Templum Domini). The IDF recently prevented Palestinians from worship in their second-most holy site. These people aren't Hamas! The Israeli blockade of the holy site is condemned by West Bank Muslim and Xians alike. Violence as a reason for being. That may be the only meaning for the State of Israel.
