When does it stop?

No it doesn't imply the opposite, that without children the marriage is less credible. That's a ridiculous take.

Makes mental note.

Apparently marriage certificates come in two colors. Gold and silver

Gold being most credible.

You won't get far here with an attitude like that! Just learn some Thai patience.

Have you asked them why? What reason do you put on the TM7 form for the extension, Thai spouse, or, Thai family.

And what the hell have my children got to do with a marriage certificate? Thanks.

They're permanent reminders of temporary feelings.

The sooner you accept your suffering is being caused by your attachment to logic and rational thought, the sooner you reach nirvana.

You're welcome. 😄

Your comments continue to be ridiculous, especially as you could have read the earlier post (see below) that explains the rationale of including one's children in your extension application:

The Logic Behind the Photos

The main purpose of the family photos is to prove to Thailand Immigration that you and your Thai spouse are running a genuine, active household together and are not engaging in a sham marriage.

• The Core Requirement:The absolute mandatory requirement is always you and your Thai spouse together in and around the home.

• The Children's Role:If you have minor children living with you, immigration officers expect to see them in the photos because they are a natural part of your daily household dynamic.

Photos is not the OP main concern.

It was ONE thing mentioned.

The OP stated

"What age can I stop showing my 3 childrens birth certificates, copies of their ID cards and photos of them inside and outside of the house to immigration?"

Both you and I know the thread started by the OP is regarding when can he cease including details related to his children in his extension application? Details can include children's inclusion in photos, their birth certificates, their pages from the blue book, etc. So what is your point now?

My wife's decided that we are not going to declare our childrens abode come 12 Aug.

'You do not generally need to report a separate address for your children to Thai immigration unless they hold their own separate visas or extensions of stay and live at a different location'

Even though you won't include them in your photos, I'd suggest having copies of their birth certificates, blue book pages, etc, held in reserve in case asked for. Absence for photos presumably can be explained.

The 12th is a holiday I understand.

Me and the missus went to Buriram IO today. All went well about our children. My wife told the officer that our children were being educated away from home and he accepted that. Upon giving the officer 4 photo's of just me and the wife, in our house, he aked for a 5th photo. And a copy of a witnesses ID card. Why ? We don't know. My wife used online to sort that out. I just have to go back on 11 September and get my visa stamp.

It seems to me that, in the eyes of the immigration official, this obviates the need for a home visit for reassurance that your marriage continues to be not only de iure but also de facto.

Your getting off easy. Others, using other immigration offices, might either have to bring at least one witness to the office or alternatively get a home visit for interviews with witnesses.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Hua Hin Imm requires presence of a witness, which was a huge challenge for us, as we didn't know anyone here, down at PKK municipality, 100 kms away from Imm office.

Our first extension, our landlord was nice enough to play witness, which turns into half day wasted for him. 2nd time was a total stranger to us, that my wife's brother knew, that lived in Hua Hin.

Switching to extension for retirement made things much easier.

As someone posted the other day, the requirements you have to meet for a Retirement or Support Wife and all of the other extensions should be standardised around the country. CW, Phuket and Nakhon Nowhere should all be the same...but they're not, and even using the same office for +20 years still results in minor changes on SOME years (possibly down to the individual Jobsworth IO ).
