I suspect the vast majority of law abiding residents of Thetford are keen for the police to deal with the violent thugs.

Throwing rocks at and biting cops isn’t the kind of behaviour most law abiding people defend, let alone engage in.

takes a lot of courage. The threshhold to do so is lower for people who have already been in contact with the law.
