You have been foaming at your mouth whole morning with this ridiculous lunacy of going to war with Canada. Are you serious with a war with NATO? Do MAGA lunatics wake up every day with crazy thoughts just like the White House madman?

He's one of the board's main trollsters.

  • Carney built up a lot of bad karma during his time as governor of the bank of England, especially with his anti-Brexit stance. That Trump is delivering the fruits of said karma, pleases me greatly.

So, is there really any purpose in considering "retaliation"...???

Vast majority of US imported energy - oil, gas, electricity - comes from Canada. Without the latter, the US Eastern Seaboard could go dark. Virtually all of US farmers' potash - a critical agricultural input - comes from Canada. Alaska is supplied by road - American semi-trailers are (so far) allowed to cross into Canada to reach the Alaska Highway. Canada has critical minerals that US doesn't have but needs for its industries. Canada's international boundary in the arctic is massive - meaning Canada controls much of the access there. All these things are vulnerabilities for the US that Canada controls. Canada is about much more than hockey sticks and maple syrup.

You are making stuff up again! 😃

There is no defense union project. The projects are about joint weapons development and procurement, based on voluntary participation, and don't include shared command structures or integrated armed forces, There is also no collective defense clause, such as article 5 in NATO.

The closest to a defense union is NATO, not the EU.

I said there is "talk of" a defense union. They're still testing the waters.

"always"

I dont have 28 year old daughters but the way you speak indicates you yourself dont know. Those big tech companies are evil BTW. Be careful with that. Google and Microsoft will be dealing with non stop lawsuits until they are bankrupt. A company with a motto "dont be evil" or whatever Google says basically says it all

Thus Carney's vision is far beyond Trump's administration.........

Yes.

You are correct.

And, all the more reason for Canada to be absorbed into one glorious union, with the United States.

I think Trump might have been on to something.

You obviously have only read the title, not the content of the initiatives displayed. 😀

It's only about non-executive military missions, such as EU training and assistance missions, industrial and procurement policy, etc..

Canada must have nukes to deter their mad neighbor.

Are you for real with this, or just trolling?

How do you think the rest of the world would react if USA invaded Canada, taking over with military forces? Another member of NATO?

I'm speechless. You sound more and more like Russia.

Canada has 51 trillion USD, actually a bit more than that in assets. It is very weak, militarily and would be defeated by the US within 48 hours, bar some limited guerilla activity from the remnants of the Candian military that survive the initial invasion.

As regards the rest of the world, European allies like the UK, France, and Germany would face an existential choice. They can freeze US assets, expel US personnel from their military bases and sever intelligence sharing agreements.

Indeed the invasion of Canada would collapse the post-WWII international order, fundamentally realigning global alliances. However, as we saw with Russia, NATO is even reluctant to fight the Russians. It is to be expected that the UK, France and Germany would be even more reluctant to fight the USA.

NATO of course would be destroyed. Does the US really need NATO though? It is really the other states that need the US in NATO, not the other way around. All the UK, France, Japan, Germany etc could do is impose economic sanctions on the US.

However, arguably the 51 trillion USD the US would gain by invading Canada, would cushion the economic impact quite nicely. The US could wipe out all its national debt with Canada's assets.

And there would be the added bonus of seeing Doug Ford in handcuffs.

Everything Canada has can be in the control of the US within 48 hours.

Your post merely supports the position that the US should invade Canada and seize its 51 trillion USD in assets.

Seriously, why negotiate with these obnoxious and unreasonable people? When you can just take all they have in 48 hours?

After Iran an invasion of Canada would be like a 2 day holiday camp excursion for US soldiers.

Why is Trump even negotiating? Just take all Canada has!

Easy on the trolling, Cam. You're getting too obvious.😂

It does not matter how strong a country or its military is. In 2026, or our age, you just don't go invading other countries in a civilized world, to enrichen yourself.

No wonder you support Russia's invasion and genocide of Ukraine. It's survival of the fittest, right?

You sound like a barbarian. Maybe your time was 100-200 years ago. You would have loved it then. Or even back to the Roman empire.

Don't worry, you'll be back soon enough, but the French will have their way with you first.😁

This latest unpopular trade war escalation makes absolutely no sense, especially right before the midterms. But that's what you get when electing Stoopid.

https://archive.ph/ajT5I

"As Mr. Carney noted Saturday, the President has contrived an array of pretexts—from fentanyl trafficking to trade deficits—to bludgeon Canada with tariffs.

Mr. Trump’s complaint about the U.S. trade deficit with Canada is particularly ironic since the latter owes entirely to imports of heavy crude oil that is especially well-suited for U.S. refineries. Exclude Canadian oil, and the U.S. would have a trade surplus."

Don't be naive, thaibreaker. How do you think the Canadians got those 33 trillion USD of natural resources? By stealing it from the native Amerindians who lived there when they arrived. Taking it away from the Canadians would just be beautiful justice. Think about it 51 trillion USD in assets, 55 trillion if you include the real estate. That could wipe out the entire debt of the US.

And Canada is very easy to defeat, only 48 hours and it's all over. From the proceeds we could reimburse the native Amerindians for what was stolen from them. The vast expanse of Canda would allow us to give land to Black Americans in reparations for slavery. All moral debt the US has could be wiped out as well. All that's standing in the way of this are a few Canadians. Without much in the way of military.

It would be a windfall for every American. Every American could get 160,000 USD and live debt free.

Canada is no match for Americans. We took their sport, Basketball, and beat them at it. Same with ice hockey. The Canadians lose to us each and every time. They would lose in an invasion again, and we would get 55 trillion USD in natural resources and corporate assets.

It would be crazy not to invade Canada.

Cuba has virtually nothing, invading it would be an act of charity, but sure, why not?

Retaliation sounds nice, though.....EHHH?

US net debt is about 100% of GDP. Canada's net debt is 10%. The difference is Canada's sovereign wealth fund.

There's not much point to having a bigger d!ck if it's diseased.

However, if the US invaded Canada and seized all of its 51 trillion USD of assets, then the US national debt could be wiped out within 48 hours. Yet another argument to invade Canada as soon as possible.
