I have read that the "hand-holding" and document preparation type arrangements provide necessary camouflage for the "financial coverage" operations in that an agency is looked upon as legitimate as most all of their services are in fact legitimate and legally acceptable.

How about can't be bothered to deal with it anymore. Just tired of it. Last year I had one iffy month's deposit because I transferred money too soon and had 2 deposits in one calendar month. I used an agent and don't think I'll go back, I could but 15K it's done, no being nicey nicey, kissing their ass.

I agree it's difficult dealing with them, the problem is the power they have so you can't say anything to them, women there often awful and the men gay so bitchy usually

What's going on here is plain as in this comment earlier this topic:

Of course Immigration receive a large part of the fee that the agent is charging for first time, or extension services. Enuff said.

And if that is an illegal payment to IMM, was anybody waiting for IMM to step in and arrest themselves?

So it may take someone else to exert their authority and step in which is maybe what has happened despite what has been said on this topic that anything that HAS happened is inconsequential.

And as I have been told many times by the 'experts' on the VISA forum, there is the law and there is reality and, in Thailand, I should not confuse that the two are the same.

Of course they r one of the many in the market, not the foremost, not the smallest. Not sure playrrs is correct terminology tho, maybe participant suits best. Not forgetting tho that many IO are able to help your get these 'waivers' by dealing direct. Indeed this was offered to me in my second year on the OA, during 90 day lodging in HKT, same prices too surprise surprise!

You need to state where you live as you need a local agent for a legit hand holding as you need to visit your local IO for a few minutes with the agent where the IO takes your picture and hands you your 1,900Baht receipt!

PS; my agent in CM "OS.ThaiVisa" only does legit!

The same thing happened to me with monthly transfer/deposit 65k and for some reason one transfer wasn't noted as from foreign bank. I never caught until at Imm office. He wasn't going to sign off. I produced out marriage certificate and he reluctantly backed off and approved it. As I sometimes say, we are all only one denial away from them fookers ruining us both financially and mentally. I've actually lost sleep being concerned about some tiny error in the sea of paperwork involved.

Oh yeah, when deposits no longer showed FTT with Bangkok Bank. That almost got me as well the previous year, but they let it slide.
