1. Voluntarily either at the suggestion of marketing or legal department, or

2. Some legal authority with jurisdiction orders them to do so.

And usually when you see some disclaimer in SMALL PRINT it is 2.

The ad was changed so that no one would have reason to think that -- beyond the 1900 baht noted -- any of the remaining of the 14K baht funds were in any way routed to IMM as a bribe which could put the potential agency customer in violation of 144 section Thai penal code on offering a bribe to an official.

It isn't any syndrome. I've been a legal wonk going on 50 years starting in the US oil & gas exploration industry when you actually had to physically go into a law library to do any legal search.

And someone this topic kinda asked where do I get all this stuff? It's all out there if you know how to look.

Interesting activity on facebook currently, people are reporting that Kasikorn and Krungtai are now freezing accounts similar to what Bangkok Bank do, freeze required to get immigration letter

Well since it wasn't me who put up that message on high-visibility TripAdvisor, so it seems, at a minimum, there is another 'disturbed individual' out there.

What's the monthly salary for the top 3 or 4 commanding officers in every Immigration office that sign off on visa stamps ? Perhaps a very large raise would enhance the crackdown and end Agent brownbag businesses,

I have found an un-taken down version to the above. It also states:

Law enforcement officials reiterate that no private company holds special privileges, exclusive partnerships, or authorized shortcuts within the Thai immigration system.
