4 weeks too long

Might be as well to have a full medical check up just in case you have underlying issues which are contributing to your depression.

Why spend four weeks there when traveling throughout the country is easy enough.

I also would not like to stay in Pattaya that long. I went there for 20 years nearly every week. I finally did something unthinkable and went to Kanchanaburi and later to Hua Hin and more south. I also I did long trips to western Isaan and the North. I never looked back to Pattaya.

I did something very similar- now for me the best view of Pattaya is in my rear view mirror as I leave

I have been in Pattaya now 4 weeks

It's becoming terrible, I'm sinking into a deep depression

I have changed hotel and Airbnb 7 times because I don't feel well

I tried my 4 weeks trial of living here I become bored

I started to go to a bar this last week where I drink alcohol,

The bar owner is very friendly, I went back and drank again , I promised myself I would go to the gym I didn't and went back again to drink

I felt so bad this morning

Pattaya is not for me

I went to see the doctor this morning, he told me he believes in bored as I have no routine , he

Isuggested I go back to Australia and only come here for maximum 2 weeks next time

He sees many farangs like myself

And he told me to stop drinking alcohol but I find the bar owner so friendly towards me

I will go back to Australia tommrrw

I don't think I could live here

It's boring ..I started to go to the bar to drink , I never do in Australia

I feel like a dark hole over me

My plan was to go to the gym everyday etc

Not sure what this depression is caused by, it's like a black period , it's hard to explain

Like even no sun out shining

I changed hotels but didn't really help

The doctor said to me this morning that he sees many farangs who move here and turn to alcohol

It seems I am ....I feel weak

The first 2 weeks were ok but now it's just walking

My energy had been zapped ,

Georgie boy , I think for yor health's sake you should go back to Australia , tear up your passport and stay there.

Very dramatic, sir!

If only there was some way to research somewhere billed as a Paradise before coming there, so people wouldn't have to experience this same tragic fate...Hmmm 🤔

Hard to find a 90s Lonely Planet in a free library in a hostel anymore.

Research needs data-driven info; calling GG- where are you?

Seriously, there is a lot to do, but you need to find it. You need to get out and meet people outside of the bars.

I to was at one point bored of Pattaya then I found that I enjoyed <deleted> ladyboys. Since that discovery not a dull moment. I had to move away because I was having to much fun.

Empty your sawdust nuts into that Nirun condo pillow, pack your mini suitcase and rack off on Jetstar to old Sydney town, work haven't missed you by the way! 😭

Dis anyone else feel like this staying long periods in Pattaya ?

If I had the 4 weeks again I would do it differently

I booked a. Airbnb for 4 weeks, same walls everyday

I had to get out and go to a hotel for awhile

I went to the bar with the friendly owner but alcohol is not my thing

Do you think it's the alcohol I drank over the last week making me feel like this ?

I haven't been eating good either

I dont understand?

  1. Pattaya is the 'wild west' of Thailand and there are hundreds of other places to go which millions of tourists do.

  2. If I was stuck in Pattaya I would try and meet a nice pretty girl, there are some. Bar girls are often there because they need money for their kids. There is no welfare state or child support or child benefit. Really man Thai girls can be attractive & fun and you can enjoy their company.

3 Get a tourist guide & look up all the favourite places. Thailand is a big big country. A nice girl could show some places. But yes you need some money.

If I was there would feel the same. The same goes for anywhere most foreigners go like Phuket, Hun Hin or even Chiang Mai city so fake and phony with the worst Thais and foreigners possible. Maybe leave?

Never ever found Hua Hin boring. Great shopping centre at Market Village, loads of coffee bars, farangs around, plenty of bars now at least three areas with bars, long beaches for exercise, bars with Guiness etc, easy bus from Bkk airport, really good roads, lots of pretty beach places going down past Panbury, popular with some farang because its adaptable and farang food places too etc

5 days was my limit - but I get why older guys can stay there long-term.

To repetitive on the bar girls shouts and grabs, and road blocking while you walk.

Shout the barmaid, there is an idea and try walking on footpaths and walkways, even the coconut bar has them!

I live in the PKK province. I spent a week in Pattaya once, years ago... I became almost depressed after just two days... I understand you👍

Never found Phuket or HH to boring, just too congested & no parking.

5 days (weekdays) would be my limit. Spent long week there, and both weekends sucked, packed, congestion, no parking. Mon - Fri was nice.

2 other times, weekends, and that was enough for me. Now I drive by, never leaving the hwy 36 or 7.

George, get out of Pattaya. There are many places with a lot more atmosphere, character and genuine warmth from the locals. Get on a coach and travel.

Just my own opinion.

Suggest you buy a ticket and make your way to airport asap...pattaya already has enough flying farangs making a big splash.

That's the lady boy's anoose. Perfectly normal when you're the bottom in a 69. Nothing wrong with that at all. Carry on. Pretty soon you'll have the entire issue licked.

You need to change accommodations at least 15 times. That's the standard. After that you'll feel fantastic. Keep going. Only 8 more room changes to go. You go this.

Odds are he never left Oz and doesn't even own a passport. Just another one of his yarns from the mop closet.

You chose the wrong location, I've been to Pattaya briefly years ago, partly from the advise of someone living there who raved about it being the place.

It wasn't. The place is generally 'off', like it's just dark and draining despite the blazing temperatures etc. The bar area and streets are too narrow and busy all the time, females are the lesser-type desperado breed.

I lived just outside of Pattaya thankfully but the dark and vile nature of the place spreads out, a lot of petty criminals trying their best to screw you over as well.

You're overthinking it. Get yourself over to Bangkok Hospital pronto and show them your PhD in Mop. They’ll put you to work right away. A couple of eight-hour shifts tidying up the maternity ward floors, and verything will be right back to normal. Easy peasy.

A week in Pattaya on the raz then find a keeper to take to an island or go on tour with. Pattaya is to get the cobwebs blown out first.

If I was you I would never go back. Thailand is not for everybody. If you don't do drugs, drink and like ladyboys, you better leave.

Four weeks in that boring dump, you deserve a medal. Sinlapin Isan is the only place worth going to there. Woman all seem fat, tattooed up idiots and the prices are insane these days. First went there in 1994 and could not wait to leave. Open air brothels might be an attraction to some though.

too many ejaculations and booze not good

Yes, and what they don't understand the most is the difference between visiting a place as a tourist for a few days and living in a place year-round. Totally different.
