Sounded like he wanted to publicly acknowledge his missteps and that he wants to be better. I can respect that. I've done the same in other forums when I've realized that I've overstepped.

if i remember correctly, he mentioned years ago that he only had a few years left ...

i definitely miss his great solar posts ... and also his sharp and brutally honest takes on relationships. he certainly had a way of saying things that others only dared to think ...
