Tango7
Is it illegal to record a conversation if the other party doesn't know ? A friend has been harassed at work by their boss. The boss is an ogre and is so two faced that my friend decided to record their conversation during a meeting, The boss found out and is threatening to get my friend arrested. It doesn't matter about the job, my friend had already quit but has a few days left and just wants to know the legalities involved. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thanks Tango7

TAWP
Ask a lawyer; in some countries it's not considered wiretapping if you are a part of the conversation.
Farma
Along the same lines, I've seen surveillance video produced and accepted as evidence in Thai courts. The parties in the video had no knowledge they were being taped and the court did not object. Edited September 5, 2007 by Farma
skippybangkok
Have had some exposure. Ask a lawyer of course, but to my understanding, according to the constitution ( which was cancelled after the coup ) it is illegal if without their knowledge, or approval from what ever govt person.
