Hello,

I wonder if somebody could offer me some advice. I will explain my situation.

I am married with a Thai, I am 27 years old (so not retired) I have my own company, and we have a combined income of 47'000 Baht per month, me 35'000 Baht my wife 12'000 Baht. I would like to get a 1 year non immigrant 'O' visa, but am having problems in Phuket, because I went home for 4 months last year, didn't pay taxes, and so can not so a yearly income of 480'000 Baht (which I've been told I require).

Is it possible for me to get the Non 'O' Visa in Penang (1 Year) and once I get it I can renew in Phuket???

If anybody could offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The requirement is indeed a combined average monthly income of yourself and your wife of minimum 40k Baht. The rules make a reference to this average being based on a year but in some cases – where an application was based solely on the wife’s income – immigration in some places was satisfied with three months’ evidence.

Yes, Penang is your best chance to get a multiple-entry non-O visa.

And if after paying this years tax you meet the financial requirements you will be able to extend a 90 day entry of that visa for one year in Phuket.
