Hi

I usually train my Muay Thai over in Sityodtong and was hitting up to 8 - 9 sessions a week up to start of summer and work forced me to cut back massively, much to my frustration. :-(

I am having trouble again re a very busy work schedule in getting to Muay Thai camps as most train 7 - 9 am ish and 3 - 6pm ish. which totally clashes with my work commitments.

Does anyone know of any Muay Thai gym in Pattaya ( only pattaya as that is where I live) where I could get a 60 min session including rounds with Padman and the rest on the heavy bags etc... at for example 11am mid week or 1pm or 2pm?

I know of most of the camps as I am in Pattaya over a year and either on the web or from visiting them, their all on very similar time tables. and kombatgroup are 5 or 6pm to 8pm but the evenings do not agree with my work time either.

I am sort of stuck for now, in finding somewhere, that can take me 60 mins ish between 1000am - 2pm time block? any ideas?

I prefer an intensive 60 mins sesssion anyway where I warm up myself before the 60 mins, do example 4 rounds muay thai, 1 round boxing and balance on the bags. In, training, no wasting time, and out.

Any help please reply.

Thanks

Gerry

Private lessons at Fairtex are 1000 Baht for an hour.

The Muay Thai Manager speaks English so best to pop up there and speak to him about your needs and he will suggest a trainer.

Thanks for the update. That is an options, though it is fairly expensive for the muay thai sector. of course I understand it is a top class training venue, and if training is very important to me, and work is messing up my ability time wise to get to Sityodthong Camp for standard training hours, then this is one option at least. I did ask at Sityodtong my trainer there, who I was with for 9 months 6 - 9 times a week, a few times about doing maybe 2 sessions, a week btwn 1000am - 1pm time frame, but they seemed a little unwilling, as if it was just not the done thing work outside the 7-9am 3-6pm usual times. I found in other camps too, I asked, and again there was a reluctance to work outside the hours. I even offered to pay more, and a tip for padman but the message was just not getting through.

Any other suggestions for Pattaya is very welcome.... 1 hour session muay thai, a few times a week, btwn 10am - 2pm very latest. In fact pad man only has do do 5 rounds, and the rest of the bad work its up to me, to push myself. just for motivation reasons after a padding session, and pad man is encouraging me, I do much better on bag work, that if I was totally alone.

I miss the regular training, and am pee'd off work is in the way. :o

in most of the gyms with proffesional fighters, the trainers need that time in between to rest. I would imagine a more commercial, tourist orientated place is your best bet.

Yes, somewhere with a more commercial outlook. problem there is even though I am not a pro fighter, I train very hard ( will take about 6 weeks hard training to get back up there), and I liked to be pushed as hard as. unmotivated padman in tourist place...drives me nuts....! of course slipping a 100 bhat or so before the session to up the pace, can always help get the level I want. Other answer is. as I work through the night to 6am sometimes, is coffee up and get training at 7am... sleep 9am, wake 2pm. work! then I m into the sleep work sleep thing...maybe to get an extra good muay thai session it is worth it??
