Internet/ Adsl Service Faq?

Featured Replies

It seems like this must have been covered a thousand times on this forum...so is there any one FAQ or previous topic where I can see a comparison of the various internet services available in Bangkok?

I used Buddy previously which wasn't terrific so I went to ask at TRUE and was told I could go on a waiting list for a True line for my new apt...which I didn't really understand where it would lead, but didn't sound good. I think there's a TOT line in there already, so I was wondering what the options are, how they compare, what they cost, which bandwidth is realistic, etc. Oh, and how to go about getting it installed.

Wouldn't this be a nice topic for a pinned FAQ in this section? :o (...Or is it already posted somewhere?)

Difficult to answer your question! Difficult because of the there isn't any "standard" in Thailand.

Depends where you're living, on which connection Box your phone line is connected, which Exchange and and and!

I'm happy with the TRUE line and I get a quite good speed! just 500 m away on air, the situation is completely different: same package but very low speed, broken Packages, VoIP impossible and so on!

Best way to find out is to speak with your "neibourgh's" and check their experiences! May even ask them to "show" you their system!

TRUE by the way didn't have free phone lines available, you can get only one if someone cancle within you area!
