I'm moving to Thailand from the Us in the next 6 Months with my Uncle. My Uncle is over 50 so he is going to apply for a retirement visa, no problem. I on the other hand am only 46, I am wealthy and plan on living out my days in Thailand. What steps do I take to initially to get a Visa and since I don't have a Thai wife as of yet what do I need to do to remain in Thailand legally. I appreciate any help.

The best you can hope for, unless you are willing to study and use education visa, or a business type visa; would be a multi entry non immigrant O visa allowing stays of up to 90 days for the one year it is valid. The problem is not many places will issue these for tourist type stays. You will need to contact some of the honorary consulates.

If you are willing to set up a business that could be used to obtain visas but is not a DIY solution and you should have legal help.

So I can get a Visa for 1 year and just do border crossings every 90 days? I would be thrilled just to know that I'm good for 1 year. I've heard things about multiple entry Visas and the fact that you actually have 15 months , and my reasonings for the multiple entry is that I've had Brain Surgery and I have to go back to the US and see my doctor every 4 to 6 months......does this play help my chances in anyway?

If you are wealthy enough, you may check into Thai Elite Card.

That includes 5 year visa, which can be renewable.

The problem is that you have donate(?) 1 million baht for Thai Elite Card.
