Want To Download Latest True Hi-speed Navigator

Featured Replies

Hi,

can anyone advise where I can get the latest True Hi-speed Navigator software to download.

When I log on it attempts to download it and gives a file ftp error.

I have looked on the true site and cant find it anywhere.

My actual problem is:

I can connect to True at the moment and the internet is connected but it keeps telling me I have an incorrect password and I get redirected in my browser to this incorrect password message. So I cant do anything on internet/email. ( I am on another connection now writing this post).

I want to set up a new user and password by registering but it only asks for a username and not for a password!! Something is wrong somewhere so I want to get the latest version off True.

Any help appreciated.

I have the hot line number for True and that will be my last port of call if no one here can advise.

thanks

I suggest do NOT iuse a Rputer Modem from True!

Reason;

1. TRUE's Modem-Router came with modified Firmware which can't be rolled back!

2. Because of the modified Firmware you'll need to logon everytime you connect to the Internet, like with an Dialup Mpdem!

3. Connection limited to 1 only and from the comp where is Modem/Router is running!

4. To connect more than 1 comp you need to setup Internet Connection Sharing with may a 2. NIC on the main comp!

Buy an "normal" adsl Router Modem, maybe WiFi with 4 ports or use a Switch if you've more tha 3 comps.

Setup the router by placing Username and Password in the router.

Connect other computer to the router or the switch as many as you have!

Don't need to logon every time you want access the Internet, at the same moment you switch on the Modem Router you're connect (maybe need 2 min to initialize after switch on). You can also easy connect to all attached comp's (the running comp's) and exchage or copy data!

The cost for an TPLINK Modem Router 4 port is app. THB 2,000 +

I use mainly a TPLINK Router because the builtin Firewall is very good and other security is quite high! I can also setup until 32 Virtual Server while Billionis limited to 16 only and some Model to 8!!

With an Modem Router other as from TRUE you don't need the High Speed Navigator at all!

thanks will take your advice...

actually I have a wireless modem already and am trying it out I can get more than one user connected, but each computer needs to run that netvigator and connect each time

I had the same error coming up everytime. It turned out it was blocked by a firewall.

Look into your firewall settings or simply disable it for a second.

I connect to the Internet completely bypassing the Navigator. Just set up a regular network connection and give it your password. In the options uncheck "ask for username", place a shortcut on the desktop or in the Quick Launch and that's it. One click and it connects in the background in less than a second.

Again: don't use a Modem Router/WiFi Modem from TRUE! All the Modems from TRUE having modified Firmwares which you can NOT roll back to "vergin" state!

When you open the config of the modem like: 192.168.1.1 the Modem ask you for Username and Password. Many usernames are: admin and the password too! So, logon to the Modem Configuration Page and type in the setting:

1. VPI/VCI for TRUE its 0/100

2. Username which is something like user@truehisp

3. Password which you got from TRUE

4. Protocol?Encasulation PPPoE/LLC

5. MTU 1492 or 1500

If there other settings you don't know, past screen shots from that pages here and you'll get the answer soon.

If you Modem Router has 4 ports, you can connect 4 computer with normal Networkcable (straight). If you need to use a Switch because the Modem Router has 1 Port only, connect the Modem Router even with straight cable to the Switch and the computers to the Switch with straight cable as well.

If you use a Server (Mail or Webserver) or a Torrent Client like uTorrent or/and Skype, you should setup Port forwarding in the Modem Router. DON'T open all port's with UPnP! Use the Virtual Server function for Port forwarding.

Problems with that: post it here!

You do NOT need the High Speed Navigator!!

You do not need that software to use True internet. Your password/settings should be directly entered into the modem/router as Reimar said above. Your modem connects to True - not your computer - and your router routes your other computers to True.

Remove the software from your computer. None of your computers need it.

You dont need it to connect to the internet. I has a few functions to connect to mail and help solve problems, but if your an experienced internet user, you wont need the spoon feeding.
