October 10, 200718 yr Looking to buy WOW somewhere, dont have the time to shop around for ages so was hoping someone might have bought it and can advise, anyone know where i can get it? need the mac compatible version though i think most copies run on all operating systems. i want a genuine copy and price if anyone knows, though i think it should be something like 800 baht or so now. thanks
October 10, 200718 yr I have seen it for sale a couple of places here in Phuket - Games Never Dried (Tesco Lotus) and B2S in Central. I think they are the US server versions, although the flag file can easily be changed.
October 10, 200718 yr Theres a game shop in Pantip plaza that sells it, they sell the game cards also if you dont have a credit card (or dont want to use one)
October 10, 200718 yr We (my son) buy most of our games from Zest. Pay online by CC and get it within 2-3 days by EMS. go here zest and enter "World Of Warcraft" in the search field. opalhort
October 10, 200718 yr Author right i need to ask another question, does it matter if its the US version, i am from the uk and have an account with WoW already, i just dont have the disks here, do i need to get a uk version of it to get my old character back? i dont mind using a credit card online, there is no danger is there? i mean its a recognised company.
October 10, 200718 yr The version you buy in Thailand will be US. Do you play on Oceanic servers or US ones? You can play both with the US version so that was a stupid question but if you are on some weird European version (I really don't think you are) than no you can't go on that server with the US/Oceanic game. I buy all my wow stuff (games/expansions and cards) at I 27 on the 5th floor of MBK. They sell all the online games imprted from the states. It will probalby be about 1100 baht Wow is wow man, it has nothing to do with Thailand so there is no difference using your card here or in the UK. I really don't know if UK has a different version since UK speaks english (OBVIOUSLY) and the countries like Aus and NZ use the same version as the States so you should too, but you should check with wow's website to be sure. October 10, 200718 yr You can use the US client to connect to the Euro servers. Just change the contents of the reamlist.<deleted> file to read :- set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com You can't use the WoW game cards they sell here to update your Euro account though.
October 11, 200718 yr Author excellent replies guys thank you very much, Damian...this place you bought it is called I27 is taht right, as in letter I then 27? and why does everyone use time cards, whats wrong with using your credit card?
October 11, 200718 yr Hey ya thats the letter I, the owner of the shop is pretty kool and knows a fair amount about all the online games. I dont know why I use game cards, probably because my girlfriends credit card is full? heh There is nothing wrong with using your credit card. Damian Mavis
October 19, 200718 yr Author I have bought warcraft now, from I 27 as he said. Its on the 4th floor though, incase anyone else wants to get it and finds this thread in the search, its just outside the really big phone market thing that is next to Tokyu but inside MBK. so walk to that end and you will find the shop on the side, small shop with loads of imports. warcraft cost me just over 900 baht. thanks damian, im happily playing warcraft now!
