Phra Saeng down south a disaster

Run-off from Nakhon Si Thammarat hit Surat Thani yesterday, prompting the southern province to declare one district a disaster zone and put another 10 of its 18 districts on watch for floods and landslides.

Surat Thani Governor Winai Buapradit declared Phra Saeng district a disaster zone and ordered an alert in Koh Samui, Ban Na San, Phanom, Vibhavadi, Kanchanadit, Khiri Ratthanikhom, Wiang Sa, Tha Chana, Don Sak and Chaiya districts.
