During the incident, a man can be heard shouting, “That’s enough, why do Thai people have to fight each other?” as he tries to separate the pair. The confrontation occurred in Bangla Road, located in Patong subdistrict of Kathu district in Phuket, a well-known nightlife and entertainment area that attracts large numbers of Thai and international tourists every night. Witnesses later told reporters that the dispute began over competition for customers, particularly foreign tourists visiting the nightlife district.
