12 Months Non Immg Multi Entry (b)

Featured Replies

It is really up to you what you want to do.

All we can do is tell you what you have and what you need to do.

If you choose to go another route that is your decision. I am telling you that you have to leave Thailand on or before 22nd July. Or be on overstay , risk prison and a big fine.

Your Choice.

The stamp in your Passport says. Admited Until 22nd July 2009. Think about it.

Your advise sound very reasonable, tomorow I will go immigration again and see if they can give me any guarantee or a stamp admitted me to stay for another 90 day's

i will keep you posted

Lite Beer is definitely correct, immigration made a mistake. I have been here for over 3 years on multi entry non-o visas, and you definitely need to leave. I personally wouldn't bother asking immigration, just start planning a border run for next week.

I just got a 12 month multiple entry B visa, so every 90 days from the start of August I will leave the country, come back, get another 90 days, rinse and repeat.

They will not give you another 90 days. You have to leave.

Make sure you show them your Visa from Belgium and your Immigration Stamp from the airport.

1. You must leave the country on 22 July or before. Any later departure you will be overstay.

2. You can leave and return to obtain a new 90 day stay.

3. You never have to do 90 day address reports using this type of visa (unless you extend or overstay). Consulate gave you false information.

Henry, you have a Thai wife right?

If you have, you can get an extension of stay from immigration if you are together living with your wife and can show an income of 40,000 baht a month or 400,000 baht in a Thai bankaccount. In both cases the money has to be yours.

You then get an extension of stay of 1 year and wouldn't have to leave the country every 90 day but do the 90 day report.

Just came back from Suan Phlu,

I do thanks Litebeer, Mario, Lopburi and all the others for their sincere and excellent advice, it did prevent me to do stupidities and put myself in problems. All of you where 100% correct about must leave the country and make a 90 day border run. THANKS AGAIN

Indeed the immigration made an mistake by giving me that report paper. They always talked about an extension not an re-entry, but I will apply for an marriage Visa next time, I have now 3 months to arrange it.

Next week I will make my first trip to Laos :)

One more last question:

Is it possible to just cross the border, do some tax free shopping and come back without crossing the Laos border.

Edited by henryalleman

No, with crossing landborders that is not possible. You have to leave Thailand and enter Laos, stamped in and out, before you can return.

Have a nice stay in Laos and good every turned out well, before you had to pay an overstay fine.

Good News. Thanks for sticking with us and getting back to us.

Sorry if we sounded a bit harsh.

When somebody tell me its impossible to do I always regard it as a challenge, but I always keep my senses and listen to good advice, and its me who have to thank you all, that despite my stuborness you did'nt give up on me. Once again Thaivisa proofed to be an excellent adviser with people who realy care about their newbies, who are like myself sometimes a real pain in the neck :D

a sincere :) to you all.

Yes, same as the non-o.

Kudos to Henry for eating some humble pie. I would be like you however, if immigration told me it was OK I would find it hard to believe a bunch of guys on the internet, but I know now that these guys are always right.

This forum is probably the best source of knowledge in Thailand for any visa related queries, immigration obviously can't be relied on, and some of the 'agents' are even worse.
