We want to install wrought iron gates on our property.

We have been quoted Bht 7000 ish per square metre ( for imported metal not thai)-cheaper for thai

Anyone purchased them for a comparison?

Can you tell me why you are prepared to pay a premium

for Stainlees or mild steel from out side of Thailand?

I’m sure Thailand has plants providing high quality

SS and MS. (anyone know)

Sounds a bit of a sales ploy.

Only asking, it’s not a criticism.

sorry can't help you with the cost per, m

Thanks for your reply.

We assumed it would be Thai- we were advised 'quality, quality, quality. ( imported from Italy)

We have a 10 x 2 metre gate requirement so Baht 70000+ seems very high to me.

I will see if anyone on the forum has purchased any and investigate 'Thai prices.

Thanks

I can't tell you about local prices, but a while back I had a 4metre x 2 sliding gate fitted, cost 11,000 Bt including concrete base and pillars. That was in Phrae and not imported metal. They use solid metal though. I took the lowest quote after inspecting some of the man's previous work. The highest quote I had was 30,000 Bt.

was pleased with the gate but not impressed with the concrete work.

I would definitely shop around as it seems to me that you have been quoted a ridiculously high price
