My Computer Keeps Switching Off :-(

My first thought was the power supply but difficult to test and the connections from my old Motherboard power supply did not fit.

I have to go to Bangkok next month and a new power supply has been added to my Pan Thip shopping list, though I don’t think darling wifie will let me spend 3k on just one item. :D

Been doing some more investigating (sounds better than just “Googling”) and seems hard drive and memory can also cause unexpected shut down problems. Sounds reasonable, so have been running HDD and memory diagnostic programs over a couple of nights neither showed up any problems and the computer did not switch off at any time.

So far so good. :o

The next step will be to put everything back together one piece at a time and see what happens – this is going to be a long job

D.D. :D
