Truevisions Called And Told Me To Update The Ubc Set Top Box

This early morning a friendly girl from truevisions (UBC) called and asked me to perform an upgrade of my UBC box. I did that and the box downloaded for 5 mins or so, and restarted. So the box now has the latest software. No problems.

Is it supposed to be any improvement now? Can't see or hear any difference... No info on truevisions website (surprise, surprise..)

And why are they CALLING their customers? Why not use UBC magazine or inform via the monthly invoice.

Another day in Paradise. :o

George, I had the same thing a few weeks ago. I have the Topfield box, that is a small box, and it took also about 5 minutes to do the upgrade. There are some minor cosmetic changes to the display screen when you change channel.

It is probably more to do with the Card - to - Box Marraige so that only one card will work with the one box.
