Wanted - Mac I-movie Expert

Featured Replies

As the title says, I am after tuition in Fianl Cut Pro or at the very least some technical advice regarding i-movies.

Can pay for the FCP tuition and am willing to buy a beer for anyone who can help solve a couple of i-movie problems.

Cheers in adv.

Just bumping this up - will keep my fingers crossed for a reply.

Dude, FCP comes with extensive tutorials on DVD that do an incredibly good job getting people not just started, but getting them even proficient.

Further, it's hard to gauge the need for tutoring, without knowing what your background is, and what you are trying to achieve - i.e. do you have any kind of background in editing? Have you done any editing before? What platforms did you use previously? etc...

If you have zero experience, FCP may be overkill for what you plan on doing, and iMovie may be a better way to get started (especially the new iMovie 8.0 that came with iLife '08), then move up to Final Cut Express, before you dive into Final Cut Studio.

If you have an editing background, jumping into FC Studio would be easy, but I suspect you would be asking what you are, if you have an extensive editing background.

Either way, start with the FCP tutorial DVDs (available also at Panthip, and elsewhere), and for more extensive titorials, look into Lynda.com tutorial site.
