Microsoft Bluetooth Drivers.

Featured Replies

I've gone and got myself a new Bluetooth dongle for my PC, specifically for the AV headphone capability. This comes with the relevant drivers which I shall install in due course, but I'm aware that the MS drivers integral to XP SP2 have to firstly be suppressed. How does someone of my limited knowledge do this?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Install your new drivers BEFORE you plug in the dongle to avoid the MS drivers firing up, that's probably what the instructions say anyway (who reads instructions, not I for one).

Cheers, Crossy: your post did the trick and I now have Bluesoleil drivers installed and the BT device is working. I have successfully paired/connected the PC to both my phone and BT headset but I'm buggered if I can get the thing to work with Skype (the principal reason for getting the new dongle as my old one didn't support an AV connection).

I've gone in to control panel > sound/audio devices > audio and set the default sound to Bluetooth AV and then set my Skype audio settings to windows default but nowt comes through. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks, as always,

Scouse.
