It could've been worse...

A videographer from Koh Phi Phi was out in the Similans about two years ago and feeding Ed (a well known large moray) thumb-sized sausages. Ed took his thumb off and apparently the guy had to have one of his toes cut off and attached to his hand. The above story may be a variation of this.

'Look, don't touch' is the best way down there.

I saw lots of cuttle fish, a lion fish, two very small moray eels and a wee little baby octopus. Highly recommended.

Do you ever see anything dangerous in the water? Sharks, stonefish, box jellies etc?

Lion fish are highly venomous and could kill you if you get spiked. If the wee little baby octopus has blue rings on it, it too could kill.

Also, I can relate from experience that a bite from a moray eel is very painful.

Croc, dunno, my selective alzheimers dun recall........PMPL...

I am no Master Diver, and by no means a Master Underwater Photographer, but these were taken with a pair of fins, a mask and snorkel, and a throw away underwater tourist camera, at 1:30pm-3:00pm, on Kata Beach, and then Ya Nui Beach.

My father always said I had gills. I would dive in my bathtub. I love it very much.

Maybe if we focused more on under the water instead of outer space, we would think differently.
