LuckyLucas
Hello Again All Anyone know of any interesting voluntary work around pattaya? my only stipulation is I would like to do something that has nothing to do with the police or similar bodies. Something involving the sea would be nice regards LL

sweetchariot
Pattaya Mail - Letters Page - Last Year.Picking up Litter from the beach. Email. KOTO will probably bore you to death with his preaching, our future is in the ocean etc. etc. Google orphanages in Pattaya, there are a few, and that is worthwhile, rewarding work. I keep meaning to get involved myself but have not yet found the time.
Zodiac
Be aware that any "work" you do here, voluntary or otherwise, needs a 'work permit'. Though I suppose as you want something sea related, yes, you could walk up and down the likes of Beach Road removing the litter and if you are careful you will not be asked to show your work permit. Have Fun. Edited January 17, 2008 by Zodiac
Chang_paarp
If you want to do some worthwhile stuff Mercy Mission does work in the slums, prisons and runs a kids shelter. Phone Dianne or Fred for information how to help. Look here for details. http://www.mercypattaya.org/

I guess he wants to do something far less dangerous than watching TV. I read in the Walking Street Journal recently that he could apply to become either a Foreign Volunteer Garbageman, Foreign Volunteer toilet attendant, Foreign Volunteer Beggar or a Foreign Volunteer Sexual Service Freelancer, all of which offer FREE uniforms and great opportunity for promotion, a far better option in my opinion. Check out page 13 when your sitting on your Foreign Volunteer freshly cleaned toilet.

tattoodrob
hello.....you could build me a pool.....interesting .....not the sea but involves water. let me know thanks
Tammi
Since you say something involving the sea is your preference you should look at collecting garbage on the beaches. Good exercise, fresh air, meet nice folks, and lovely if you do it first thing in the morning.
