Hi, I've got a triple entry non-imm 'o' visa, I've used the third entry and will have to leave the country before October 15.

Will they extend my stay, and for what period if I visit immigration in BKK, prior to the 15th Oct?

Or is it possible to cross the border at Laos, and come back to Thailand same day and have a 30 day tourist visa granted upon returning?

I'm not supporting a Thai wife or child

Thanks in advance.

Thanks very much George, is there a minimum time you need to exit the country for? Or can it be done same-day as when stamping the multi-entry visa?

no time limit, same day with an existing multiple entry visa or a 30 day tourist entry

do you (or anyone else) know how often/easily non-imm extensions are issued?

they are granted almost everyday, if your paperwork is in order. dress and attitude can play a factor in some cases.

Just a final couple of questions. As I've already got a flight leaving Thailand, if I re-schedule this flight over the phone (there is no record on paper), will this be a problem when re-entering on a 30 day tourist visa? Would it be necessary first to get the ticket re-issued here in BKK so the date is recorded on paper?

Also, by getting a visa extension at immigration, is it necessary to then leave the country and re-enter?

Thanks
