KhunDtaa There are some people in Ranong. Will be moving just south of Chumphon in May.

There is group of Thaivisa people in that area. It isn't too far from Ranong

I'm up in La-Un about 28 km out of Ranong. There are quite a few expats in Ranong, not all visit here.

Some guy at my work just moved to sydney from Ranong a few months ago, he was a farang teacher there for a few years, you may even know him

Hi there not hi-jacking just tailcoating - I have a sister in law who lives on Koh Chang and would be very interested to hear about Ranong and surrounding areas - with a view to buying small plot of land or small Bungalow/townhouse/shophouse so all input welcome and I am sure the OP would like some more input also.

Ive been to Ranong,but only for visa runs.Any beaches that a decent enough for swimming?

There are some to the south of town, down highway 4. I can't comment on them as I have not been.
