What Dates Is Songkran In Pattaya This Year?

Featured Replies

I know the Songkran holiday in Thailand this year is 14 and 15 April...but I have been told that they celebrate it later in Pattaya???...maybe the next weekend? Appreciate it if anyone can tell me for sure when it is this year in Pattaya. :o

Everytown is supposed to have their own "special day" but what ends up

happening is we have sporadic fighting (I mean water purification rituals)

for an entire week leading up to the official date. Anything goes, I was in

the burger king having breakfast last year thinking I could take a brief

respite from the drenching and a Thai man instructed his kids to spray me.

Hardly in the spirit of the event, which is where it all starts to go so wrong. :o

As normal in Pattaya, Songkran will be from about the 11th until the big day on the 19th. Be there for the 19th - it's fun. For the previous week - go elsewhere or stay at home. It ends in tears so often ........
