Nz Work Visa Extensions

I'm a kiwi and my Thai wife has just been granted a 2 year work visa for New Zealand. Does anyone know how difficult it is to get extensions on this when the time comes. Not easy to get info from the thai staff at NZIS.

She will likely have a 2 year multi entry visa and upon entry to NZL be granted a 2 year permit of stay. This would give the applicant more than enough time to then prepare and lodge a permanent residency application under the family/partner of a NZL citizen category.A much better option than getting a working permit extension and a mandatory step on the road to acquiring NZL citizenship.
