Is there another service doing this run? I went a couple weeks ago. I thought the bus also left at 10am from Nathon? We missed it, bought a ferry & bus ticket to Suratthani for the 11:00 ferry. Got to Suratthani about 15 minutes before the 14:00 bus to Phuket (they dropped us off directly in from of the ticket office). Then we didn't get to Phuket town until almost 20:00. Ugh. Even though it was about 2200 baht cheaper than flying one way, that extra 8 hours or so really sucked. Next time I think I'll fy one leg of the journey.
