Can any one help? my wife has just recived her second tourist visa to the uk, when we completed the form and visited vfs we told them that she would travel to the uk in july and return to thailand in november. when we recived the visa it had a start date from the day we applied and will expire in september.

my quetion is, will she recive 180 days in the uk from the date she arrives or will she need to retun to thailand before the visa expires?

Your wife has to leave the UK by, at the latest, the last day of the visa's validity. If you gave a start date of July on the application form, try contacting the embassy, pointing out that you wished the visa to start later, and ask that it be amended.

my wife is in chiang mai and i returned to the uk yesterday, will have to cut her stay short as it is a lot of hassle giong to and from Bkk. and she cant come to the UK now as i have to work away from home for the next 2 months.
