In Pain When She Pees

Featured Replies

Hi guys my daughter has just had a pee & she was saying jep jep & crying. Her "bits" look ok no redness or anything but is a bit worrying. She's asleep at the mo, but if it continues will take her to the clinic. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this & if so what it was.

My daughter is 21 months old.

Thanks guys.

She may be suffering from Cystitis (an infection of the urinary tract) or she may be suffering with a fugal infection (Thrush) another cause may be a high sugar content in her diet.

All common and easily cured.

Take her along to the doctors for a check up.

The above two posters may well be right, I have no idea, but repeat the post Here or ask a MOD to move it, because Sheryl is right on the button concerning Health Issues.

Hope all is well.

Sounds like cystitis and a course of antibiotics should clear it up in a few days. Also drinking cranberry juice helps to clean out the system.

Yes, probably cystitis (bladder infection). The female urethra is quite short so it is very easy for bacteria to climb on up. Take to the doctor, who will probably prescribe a course of antibiotics. it is also wise to get her to drink as much liquid as possible, this helps to cleanse the bladder.
