April 23, 200817 yr My TGF and myself are planning to apply for a future spouse visa (after we are engaged). I realise that once a future spouse visa is granted (after 5-6 months processing and a hefty fee) she will be able to work in Australia. Does that still mean I need to provide documents showing that I can support her or not? Do I need to have a particular income for the visa to be granted, or is the processing of this particular visa irrespective of my income?

Do I need to have a particular income for the visa to be granted, or is the processing of this particular visa irrespective of my income? hey there, my partner and I were granted a defacto spouse visa last year, my income was very minimal at the time as I was working in thailand, so I was required to get an assurance of support, just a document saying that someone (in my case my mother) will pay back centerlink if we required assistance within the 1st 2 years of him being in australia.
