H-5 Site Warning

Featured Replies

Got an email yesterday from a friend ( ridiner) asking me to join him on the site. Or at least thats what I thought. This morning I'm getting mail from friends declining to join it. I never sent a request apparently it sizes your e-mail list and sends out invitations to join in your name.

So if any of you got it My aplogies was not my intent, Sent out e-mail notifications as well. Hope it was in time

This is a common problem - not much you can do about it.

The todays normal daily life!! I also get a lot emails from myself I never send! I had just send myself as sender to blocked contents.

I received an invitation from someone I hadn't heard from for ages but sent to an e-mail they haven't used for me for at least a year. Signed up using a diferent new e-mail I created only for Hi5 so I could take a look at their profile, no problem as I had an empty address book for the new e-mail. A week later I thought I'd check that new e-mail to see if there was any e-mail in it and couldn't sign in because it had been disabled by the provider. Maybe it was disabled because the Hi5 signup was causing it to be seen as a spammer. Hi5 is probably not the only one of the facebook type sites that pull this stunt. There is probably some condition when you signup that gives them permission to use your address book.
