THIEF WHO MISJUDGED HIS EXIT FALLS FOUR FLOORS FROM WINDOW OF PATTAYA GAY RESTAURANT

A thief who tried to escape capture in Pattaya, early in the morning of April 25, 2008, after stealing a Bt40,000 notebook computer from a Soi Lengkee restaurant, misjudged his escape route and plummeted from the fourth floor, through an awning, crashing against a coconut tree en route and ended upon the ground, severely injuring himself.

After receiving a distress call at 5.30 am, Pattaya Police Inspector, Pol.Capt. Chanatat Nawakunrungsri, and his team went to investigate the report of a man having fallen from the fourth floor. They arrived at the Juice and Nu Restaurant at 312 / 58 Moo. 9 Soi Lengkee, Pattaya 3rd. Road to find the individual on the ground still conscious, but covered in blood.

The man, Mr. Jatuporn Dehcha (19) from Suratthanee province, a barman at the nearby gay Catier Pub, attempted to escape from the police, but due to the severity of his injuries was unable to manage it. Before he was sent to hospital for treatment, he confessed to police that he had stolen property from the rooms above the restaurant.

When questioned by the police, Mr. Wisanu Chaipratoom, (24) the restaurant owner, explained that while he was sleeping on the third floor after closing the restaurant, he had awoken to hear his brother, Mr. Warut Chaipratoom (29) who slept on the floor above, shouting that there was a thief trying to break into his room. Mr. Wisanu then ran up to his brother's room to find his frightened brother and his wife alone, with no sign of the thief. Mr. Warut told him that the thief had entered the room and, shocked to see anyone in the room, had rushed to the window, climbed out and fallen to the ground.

However, Mr. Wissanu who went down to identify the plummeter before he was sent to hospital, told the police that all he knew was that a thief had broken into their premises and stolen their brand-new computer notebook, costing Bt40,000, from his bed room.

Mr. Wissanu presumed that the thief must be the same man that was lying on the ground. :o

Finally some good news on here.

Who writes these annoying reports? I get the feeling it's a failed British wannabe journalist.

They really love to make up new words in an attempt at wit. Perhaps they meant "plummeteer", but at least they could have used parentheses.

Agreed, some of the radio... news-reports are also..... wriiten in such a way.... and delivered with a bizarre cadence that sometimes defines belief making me question the nationallity of the reader.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who noticed it...in the newspapers and on TV. I find the news on Pattaya TV rather irritating.

<deleted> is a Gay Restaurant?

Do the sell gay food or something?

Are you seriously asking? Because yes, of course, there is such thing as gay food:

http://www.slate.com/?id=2063911

For example:

Pineapple Betty, Green Goddess dressing, mock apple pie (made with Ritz crackers), and all puffs, tarts, crumpets, pavlovas, and charlottes

Can you really imagine a straight guy ordering a Pineapple Betty?

Gay Restaurant? What rubbish. It is in a straight area and frequented by 95% straight guys and their female friends. It just happens to be owned by a gay Thai lad.

the plummeter

(Some Aussies may be struggling with unwanted images of Aunty Jack.)

Indeed, many of those Pattaya reports seem to be authored by a person or persons of considerable quirkiness.

In Hong Kong, the same act is described as "plunging" :o .
