If there are two things that keep TV (thai visa) forum members running around in circles, it has to be music and movies. So how about mixing the two and coming up with this new thread:

What is your favorite movie soundtrack?

You may give up to five best/favorites. If you cannot come up with the five right now, you can come back and complete your list next time. But remember, it really has to be your personal best and it has to be five. Not much room for cheating here, huh? :o

Then after some considerable time, the mod or any volunteer who has the time and patience (not me...) can tabulate the results and we can have a ranking.

Later, we can also probably see some interesting trends and info like how these movie soundtrack came from a few artists/composers or directors/producers who favored this or that kind of genre...or they came from everywhere. Fascinating, isn't it? :D

Here are my favorites:

1. Saturday Night Fever (John Travolta with artists and composers: Bee Gees)

2. Sleepless in Seattle (Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan)

3. One for SEAsia...Good Morning, Vietnam! (Robin Williams: for me, it resurrected "What a Wonderful World" and the Beach Boys)

Reserving my two slots for later....

Hope you enjoy this new game, er, thread... :D

Can't say I've bought (or downloaded) a soundtrack of a whole movie for a very long time but there are a few movie music moments that can lay claim to favorite status.

The 633 Squadron - 1964 (Ron Goodwin)

Self Preservation Society - The Italian Job - 1969

Opening Credits "The Anthem Of The Saga" - Star Wars - 1977 (@Full Volume)
